Possibly. But it doesn't increase their chances of picking up women who want to be w/someone who looks decent. Not devastatingly handsome, just decent.
btw - My son is as hetero as they come and spends as much time grooming as a girl. It's not a sin to want to be clean, take care of your skin, take care of your clothes & shoes, and want your hair to look nice. You'd be surprised at how many men apparently just stop doing any of this. It isn't pretty and you aren't a metrosexual just because you maintain your appearance. Just sayin'
