I am reading A heart, a Cross and a Flag by Peg Noonan, and
A Purpose Driven Life daily ( on chapter 18.
I love Scotts voice : )) but I think BO is going to win this whole thing on being a complete entertainment package.
I wish they would let him sing as he plays guitar....a 12 string ballad : )

I'm only a few pages into it yet, but yeah, the prose is a little dry. I've read worse though.

Yeah, Josh is cool. His country CD is doing good, and his single "Nothin' to Lose" was #2 last week on the Billboard Country chart after hitting #1 the week before. He's been nominated for a CMT best new artist award, so he's off to a good start in his country music career.

I voted for him several times during the competition. Of course I also voted often for Ruben and Clay. I also liked Kim. To me that was the best year of AI. Everyone was really good.
To: silent_jonny
Oh goodie. Is this a live AI thread?

Wow, I didn't know Josh was doing so well. Last time I saw him he was singing the Anthem at a NASCAR race.
Speaking of which, did anybody see (and hear) John Michael Montgomery sing the Anthem before Sunday's race. The man was drunk!

I think Scott is very talented. Unfortunately, in a year when the contest includes flashy rockers, Scott's appearance works against him. He doesn't project the warmth of a Ruben Studdard (who doesn't sing nearly as well, in my opinion). If he could somehow find a way to soften his look and smile more, he might go further than most expect.

When you're further into the book, I'd be interested in your assessment. I have about a quarter of the book left to read, and I think Ari's style gets a little better deeper into the book.

Sure, except I'm in Arizona, and it doesn't start for 20 minutes or so? I think it starts at 7 p.m. MST. But I'd still love a ping.

Don't worry about spelling Mikalah's name--she'll be gone soon.
