I just watched Slingblade. Man, I used to really like that song!

The comments from earlier are really funny. it's kind of fun just to read along and see what everyone thought when they watched this.

I have more fun watching Paula. Of course Paula is having a party all by herself. I figure Bo is safe.

Paula just needs a little help getting through the show with some of bad notes that are sung. I may have to join her next time if Scott stays!

I think if I had to sit that close and listen to some of those characters I'd need some help too

Tis a mixed up show tonight! Slingblade still in. As I said earlier, I'll be having some of what Paula has in her cup to get through next weeks singing!

Anthony LaPaliga (sp?) is Australian, I think. But he doesn't have an accent.

You should here him talk when he comes home; he's still got the Aussie accent down pat. He's just bought himself a football team (soccer) here in Sydney - he's a total soccer nut! He's a really nice bloke who hasn't forgotten his roots.

This weeks show will air in Ireland on Saturday. I just follow the threads here - and when I watch it with my friends, appear prophetic when I can pick who will leave! ;-)

If they do a Neil Diamond show...Bo's gotta sing "Sweet Caroline"..He's got the voice for it..

Also similar to when Latoya London and Fantasia were in bottom 2 and Latoya went home.:(

"I always thought it was insane to have the leaving person sing the same song that got them booted off to begin with!"

LOL, I never looked at it that way, but you are right!

Anthony is the equivalent of plain vanilla ice milk. He can sing, but has no original style.

He reminds me of a pagent singer. Technically very good, but no real personality.

I thought the same thing. Now the pretty one with class is gone. Only difference is that there's still one more left, Carrie. Let's see what they do to her.

P.S. I'm sure Vonzelle's a nice girl, but she's not in the fun-to-look-forward-to class.

Song suggestions:
Bo - Squeeze Box, the Who OR Feeling Alright, Joe Cocker
Carrie - Cry - Faith Hill
Vonzell - Rescue Me - Fontilla Bass
Anwar - Candy Man, Sammy Davis Jr. (or Man, I Feel Like A Woman, Shania Twain)
Anthony - Faith, George Michael
Lt. Dan - Dream On, Areosmith
Slingblade/Scott - Bad, Michael Jackson
How's that?

Not bad. I think Rescue Me gets done a tad too often though and I hate Squeeze Box but the others might work. I was wondering though if you were serious about the selections for Anwar?

My choices
Bo - Sick and Tired, Eric Clapton OR Love Struck Baby, Stevie Ray Vaughan -- (over3Owithabrain: I got out my Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show and you are right. Bo would probably do an excellent rendition of that. I'm just not too sure how it might go over with the judges because there is a lot of singing that is more like talking)
Carrie - Cheap Love, Juice Newton
Vonzell - Hurt, Elvis Presley (Juice Newton did this song as well and I think Vonzell could hit the high notes extremely well)
Anwar - The Lady in Red, Chris Deburgh (I wish he would do something extremely uptempo though)
Anthony - America, Neil Diamond (after listening to it I changed my mind and think Anthony could pull this one off, he would just need to be more forceful with his vocals.)
Constantine - Sharp Dressed Man, ZZ Top (I think Constantine considers himself a sharp dresser and I think this song would go over well with his fan base)
Scott - The Great Wall of China, Billy Joel (I think this has a rap feel that Scott could do well)

I think some of these people need to pick up the tempo.

Have to disagree with you there...
I think she did a smashing good job with tthat "Footloose" song, "Let's Hear It for the Boy"
Bet she siphoned off all Nadia's votes.
I agree with Simon... it was a performance that inspired votes.
