I didn't even think to check the memorial wall. Hopefully he is just busy. He mentioned some community project once.
Maybe he's doing that. He was a great guy. I loved to read his insight into things.

Did you ever wonder why they picked last year's song (I Believe) to be a Black Gospel tune?
That was what Fantasia did best and a little white suburban girl like Diana didn't have a chance.
They also did something to Diana's monitor earpiece on her last song.
Oh well...better luck this year....

it would be a nightmare for her child.
How many starstruck artists come to their senses?

I remember the controversy about Diana's earpiece. Such a shame. They obviously wanted Fantasia to win. Well I hope they're satisfied with her CD sales, cause I ain't buying.
I did however buy albums of the Nashville Star winners and runners-up. (Since I no longer have cable, am not watching it this year.)

Nadia was, IMHO, superb tonight...excellent phrasing on the song..quasi-jazz styling..she reminded me, very, very, very slightly, of a young Carmen McRae..

I think Nadia to make the final three, she was so good tonight. Carrie is also consistently very good, but her performance didn't grab me tonite. She was dressed up like Faith Hill, which was a plus.

Diana was recently thanked by President Bush for entertaining the troops.
I wonder what that was like for a girl her age to be mentioned by name by the President of the United States.
Heck, I'm 44 and I'd be thrilled to hear my name from him!
