Robin Hood. Taking back what the government stole in the first place.

By the same token, you could say that Robin Hood is a perfect example of a liberal DemonRat movie. The re-distribution of wealth. Taking from the rich and giving to the poor.

I always thought of robin hood as being somewhat communistic as well.

I sort of agree but Robin Hood wasn't working for the government and in the context of Robin Hood, the poor were the over-taxed. btw I'm talking about the 1938 Errol Flynn with Olivia De Havilland version not the Costner flick.

Nah. Robin Hood steals from the tax collectors and gub'mint officials and returns it to the folks who earned it (minus operating expenses, of course...).

The only redistribution of wealth in Robin Hood was from the poor to the rich. Giving people their own tax money back is not redistributing anything, it's dedistributing.

DemonRat Myth. Robin Hood returned money stolen from the people through abusive overtaxation. The people were poor because their government robbed them.

Misinterpretation. Robin Hood returned the monies that were stolen by an oppressive government and its agents. The whole rich/poor thing is a false spin.

"Wait a tic... blimey, this redistribution of wealth is trickier than I thought."
