Chinatown in LA has 2 of the best restaurants in the world. (Reviewed by Chinese). Incidently, in China or Malaysia, you can't buy shrimp without the head on it at the stores.Oh, yeah. Some American grocery stores you MIGHT be able to get a live Lobster.
The Chinese stores I've seen here in Big D you would think you have entered an aquarium, they have so much live seafood.

They have em here for about 11-12 a pound. Over the years, I have made friends with some fishermen who dock at the Ventura Harbor. I buy hugh shrimp for8- 10 a pound, and scallops for 7. Can't get any fresher than off the boat.
One of the 2 restaurants I mentioned is a seafood Chinese place, and all you see are tanks full of fish.
