I think at THIS point (still don't have tickets), we're planning to fly in Wednesday, with the rehearsal and all being Friday (?), so I should have Thursday to do a little goofin' around.

OK - cool. I'll be able to come get you in Tacoma if you won't have a car. Are you staying at a hotel in Tacoma? Remember you are welcome to stay here as many nights as you need also.

Forget the nattering nabobs of negativism! This is YOUR adventure, not theirs! I prefer traveling by car, if there is plenty of time. It's frankly more relaxing, you can stop when you feel like it, or even take a side trip if you feel like it! Of course this is coming from the "drive 30 hours straight through" lady. ;o) But we do change drivers every few hours, and enjoy the scenery along the way. The kids like driving because if they're awake late in the night when I stop for gas and to rent some more coffee, they know they can get a snack, too! Our family, like an army, travels on its stomach!

You'll get lots of driving experience, but it sounds like you've planned the trip to be not TOO strenuous as far as the amount of driving you'll do in a day. Also, when you get to CO, there will not be the stress to have to find a suitable car for being able to go on interviews, etc.

Just my opinion; put it with the others in the circular file, if you wish. ;o)
