We actually told him recently that we're ~okay~ if he doesn't think he's college material.

We also explained that he wouldn't have half the crap he wants to have. And we explained that those who go on from high school to become millionaires are vey rare.

Actually, Mom explained all those things. Dad clarified that he ain't livin' with us.

Quite frankly tho, I think it wouldn't be a bad thing if he went the military route and did college later.

It could be that would be best for him. He isn't interested in studying right now... not for some vague sense of being able to get a better job out of it later.

Some folks are just not ready for college when they're finished with high school. They need to be out in the world of work to see if they can figure out what it is that they want to do with their lives. Then they can see if a four year degree is what they need or if what they want to do might only require a two year degree, or none at all.

Y'all are wise parents.
