Mmm, well, if they're improving... good.

It's just too bad that copyrights keep getting extended. It seems like the things that are in copyright now will never leave that protection. There are a lot of out-of-print books that are hard to find, but if they were public domain, it'd be easy.

I can understand family not wanting things to go to public domain, but you'd think if they AREN'T willing, they should make an effort to make sure someone interested in publishing still has rights to publish. If that makes sense.

Though I dunno how it all works, legally speaking. But I know the place my brother works / worked for did a lot of seeking out older out-of-print-but-not-public-domain books and obtaining rights, so it must be doable.

Great...I've got a sore throat and the beginnings of what it appears may be a bad cold. After taking Friday off, I really don't want to take a sick day tomorrow. I know no one expects me to be that motivated considering how little time I have left, but I also don't want to slack! And even if I'm legitimately sick...it'll look like I'm just taking advantage of sick time.
