Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Nobody with a bow, though. We have a couple of fine bowmen here in the Hole. Unfortunately the character generator didn't offer that option.
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole, Master Strongbow.

Check out the blog again, would you? I added some of these jobbers ~~~~ to help clear up some confusion about the pictures. See if it makes it easier to see which pictures I'm talking about.

I'd post the parrot, too...but I lost my webspace. *sniff*
I'm skeered of posting pictures from most other sources, on account of my naughty Nazgul pics awhile back. That was horrible.

Good! And free, too! I had fried ravioli filled with spicy cheese and a tomatilla cream sauce. Weird sounding, but very good.
My plebeian tastes would say they were kinda like jalapeno poppers without the whole peppers, and a little fancier. ;-)

photobucket's a good free host.
Sigh. Really boring Windows security meeting. Really boring. Home trying to study now.

I should get a photo account of some sort.
Eventually I want to get regular webspace again, for docs and transferring one or two MP3s to brothers, stuff like that. But mostly I just need photo space.
Almost time to go home! And then I have work to do. Printed labels, so I need to tape those on and load Van-sama with boxes.

Well, if you use the sword, that works too. After all, Beleg had a famous sword (Turin uses it to kill him and himself). Hmmm...maybe not the best reference material there...

I might, but probably not before you tire of me.

My Dwarven names are
...Gror Coalnose or
...Tror Thunderanger
My Hobbit names are
...Doderic Gamwich
...Marcho Chubb of Buckland
...there being a birth name and a legal name involved here, you see.
I think I prefer Marcho Chubb of all these options. You know, middle class, upwardly mobile, not all that pretentious, but willing to go trad in the right company.

Why does it not give me hope when Larry Klayman and Alan Keyes are in Florida speaking on Terri's behalf?
Later folks.
