Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Nite nite... :-)
Do what I do: let it grow for six months or so, and *then* cut it way back.
It's worth it just for the shocked reactions one gets.
Tycho Brahe lost part of his nose in a duel, and wore an artificial one made of silver and gold.
I learned that in a SF novel.
Good morning!
Very pretty picture, ExGeeEye! Nice thing to come in to...
Jen - glad to hear my mail was apparently forwarded OK! I wasn't sure I did it right. I'm working to get my address changed wherever I'll still need an address...for some places, I'll just get a final bill and be done with 'em, like the phone company.
Lot of little errands and phone calls to do today. Need to get a physical scheduled for Van-sama, and figure out when I'll get his sneakers changed, too. Among other things.
Good morning.... - have a busy morning here to go pick up my farm sitter! Prayers for her safe flight!
I was tempted, but a quick sip of juice and some hugs did the trick. That, turning all of the lights off and my good friend Barney the Dinosaur, finally got her to go to sleep once and for all.
*sigh* Now it's morning and I'm off to get some caffeine. :-D
Boy, I just felt awful all day yesterday. Really tired and headachy. Feeling much better today! And I think we finally have everything ready for our trip... except for our own packing. But that seems minor after all the farmsitter arrangements that had to be made!
Travel planning is tiring!
I'm really not looking forward to the last two or three days here, when I realize how much stuff isn't gonna fit in the van and how many things I shoulda done but didn't...
I think it's inevitable.
Paryin for the sitter! I'm glad this worked out with the friend from the Saddle Club. I'll have to tell SSQ about it. He's continually amazed at our little community here.
Okay ladies, here's thuh deal...
If'n you cain't get up early enough to get everything done afore you leave thuh house, you gotta make a CHOICE when yer drivin' in...
Either do the hair OR smoke the cigarette. You cain't do both.
I'm just sayin'...
Please keep Nana on yer prayer list.
She's scheduled for surgery next Tuesday. But she's fighting bronchitis. (we gots drugs)
We do NOT need a delay.
You got it!
Ha! I can do that, and eat an egg-mcmuffin!
Rules for Non-Pet Owners Who Visit and Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)
3. I like my pets a lot better than most people.
4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly. Dogs and cats are better than kids ..they eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug-using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about having to buy the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, and don't need a gazillion dollars for college - and if they get pregnant, you can sell the children.
You got it, my FRiend.
Good morning! Steve came in early last night and went to bed around 8pm. I could hear him really sawing logs even before the news came on! LOL Bless his heart, he was wore out. I woke up at a quarter to seven this morning (Steve usually leaves at 6:30am for work) and he was still sleeping, snoring loudly. I hated to wake him up, but I did.
Anyway, he was likely a bit late, but nobody will mind. I did send him off with a nice bag of low-carb items to last the day. I won't see him again till 10pm tonight.
Which may be the reason you always get beat up when you go into ~town~.
Heck, in my younger/thinner days I've changed clothes behind the wheel. But not in the middle of stop and go traffic.
Hold my sandwich... I gotta take a call ;~D
LOL!!! I bet so!
I'll remember you curling your hair and smoking on your front porch the day of your wedding till the end of my days.
