Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

BC just lost. Got beat by UW-Milwaukee.Saw that. That combined with the Syracuse loss has left my bracket in complete shambles. At least AZ won handily again!

how did work party and shooting party turn out went well... last time I had seven men with chainsaws, and no utes... this time we had 6 utes, and one guy with a chainsaw...
we dropped and split 6 trees, delivered one load of seasoned wood to an elderly lady that needed it...
the shoot went well, no incidents... I think my safety brief was quite effective... traumatizing, yet effective...

Guess the locals will be grumbling around the ol' coffee pot on Monday morning....Kansas lost in the first round. I was looking forward to a UNC/ Kansas match up (assuming, of course, that the stoooopid Tar Heels don't suck.)

Yes, yes, king. That's very nice. And how did you get to be king? By exploiting the masses!

heh... I need tuh get a life... Yuh kin have mine...
I scored 7 out of 10. Missed a couple I should've known. But guessed correctly on the others.
Long day that is only destined to get longer. Had a 3 hour rehearsal this morning for tomorrow's service. The was supposed to go down to the pool for a work day on the tennis courts.
But wife's brother came to visit Nana and other sister came over. So I just said the heck with it. After all, what're they gonna do? Kick me off the board?
Yeah, throw me in that briar patch.
Jr's with the youth choir in Baltimordor tonite. They're doing a concert this evening. Expect to be home around 1:00 a.m. That's particularly delightful 'cause we got a 7:30 a.m. call for tomorrow morning.
Two services tomorrow, then over to the in-laws house for nephew's birthday party.

Well, I kinda had a feeling that KS would be knocked out early. They lost a lot of games late in the season. My bracket had them losing in the second round.
However, I had both Syracuse and Gonzaga in the Final Four. So much for that idea.

Good Evening Sam - wonderful publication, I've got every issue. There have been high and lows over the years but it is the best publication on the subject, bar none. I'd 'seriesly' suggest some back issues, the last couple years have been especially good.
heh-guests here used to be offered the same tour and lecture series on fine bowyering, when we used to have guests that is.

We've got a couple of iwoa or iwoa 'Cylclones' around our shop, they're pretty happy so far.

Rumanian. Translates roughly "Your face and the love from the linden trees, And I remember your eyes." It's a song, making the rounds on the internet; has been for over 6 months, I found out about it Thursday, and apparently it's considered tiresome by some.
That's OK :)

At least with them playing Iowa State, they'll show the game here.
