Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'm doing well thanks. Breathing just fine.
There's some lingering cough. But interestingly, not so much at home as elsewhere.

That is just amazing, such an abrupt turn-around! Had to be airborne allergens that the purifier is filtering out. Especially when you say you have relief when you're home!

I think it's done a pretty good job of getting rid of the mold spores (from the bathroom leak) and settling down the pet dander.

I got the shop bombed for spiders. The website where I get all my VW info and where I can ask questions had a thread that talked about things they'd found in their Bugs when they got 'em. Lotsa drugs, paraphanelia and such...but also lots and lots of spiders!
Just gave me the willies, I can tell ya. I'd rather been naive!
So I bombed the shop with the car in it yesterday and it seems to have worked, since I saw very sick-looking spiders wandering around when I went in. I'll check again after while.
Also, guess what else I found!! A 1969 dime and a 1970 quarter! In my 1970 car! It was up under the carpet. I got a kick out of that. I saved it, put it in it's own baggy even. It'll go back in when we finish the resto.

Maybe I should be thankful the closing got moved back a day...
Eep...I have to get up WAY early tomorrow. Supposed to go to the dentist at seven, and it's a much longer drive from the house. Didn't think of that when I made the appointment.
Tomorrow's gonna be an exhausting day: dental appointment, closing, and then our final whole-group practice for the concert on...Thursday! Yikes! Been thinking of that as being a way off. Also we're supposed to show up at the pub a bit early, it being St. Patrick's Day and all. They're letting us play as usual, though - not kicking us out. It's liable to be PACKED!

still think that he needs to sleep in his utes, but I'll go along...Shouldn't cost no $75, either.
If you do get them, include a small note with your thoughts on it for the young Marine to ponder.
