No, the ones that I'm calling summer tires are all season tires. The ones that are on the van are winter tires...bit better for serious winter weather.
I figure the all season would work fine for the trip, even if we hit a bit of snow. Might be able to sell the snow tires. I might assign that to the boys...let them take commission. ;-)
Oh, OK, now I understand. Well, from Jen, it sounds like there's not a hugh snow problem in CO, so selling the winter tires is much more practical!

Yep! I'm thinking all season tires will be fine all year 'round in CO, so long as I'm careful. I've driven in snow with 'em here and they aren't horrible...but the snow tires do inspire a bit more confidence, especially if I have to deal with hills and back roads!

Not much of a problem except that they don't clear it up too well. There have been days I wouldn't have wanted to drive, but taking the bus means it's someone else's worries. Tonight we're supposed to get a couple inches, and I really hope we don't, otherwise church will be impossible and even getting to school to change the backup tapes tricky.
I realllly hope I can get a job in the city - hopefully The One Job...I'm more than happy to let someone else do the driving even on a reg'lar day!

Nope, not at all! Every name I recognize is the same, and they're even pronounced right. The biggest change is just the "setting".
I'm up to episode 11 - it's gorgeous and enthralling. So far the story has entirely focused on the revenge, I'm not sure whether we'll get any time devoted to what happened before, and it's pretty much entirely from Albert's point of view. It's been a while since I read the book and I remember more of the betrayal and less of the revenge bits, but it seems reasonable accurate... except for the sci-fi bits....
Spent the day working on our business taxes. I don't have the forms filled out yet, but I know all the numbers that go into the forms, and that's about 7/8 of the battle I figure. So, since I've been working on it just under 6 hours, I decided to quit, relax, and leave the typing out of the forms for tomorrow. They don't have to be mailed until Tuesday, so I'm actually doing better than usual...

And episode 11! They must be able to tell pretty much the entire story that way.
As long as you tell it the truth, it pops out as pretty a pile of paper as you could ever hope to abolish eventually.

Granted, I've not seen, nor am I likely to see the anime version. But I thought the revenge was the point.
Also granted, I've only seen the "current" film version. But I know wife and I had some discussions regarding the book. She taught it this year.

There are going to be 26 episodes total (with about 20 minutes of story per episode) - that's a typical season - and I have the first twenty to watch. I'll be rereading the book and let you know how much is accurate...
Yay, Albert Mondego, which really is interesting. I have to admit I remember the most recent movie version more than the book (and remember liking it more than the book!) but this is an interesting spin on it
I really liked the recent film version. What did your wife have to say about that, since I know they made a few changes from the book?
Mainly that it was different from the book. ;-)
And she warned her students not to rely on the movie.
