As a non-smoker, this has little bearing on me, personally.
Not yet. But don't think it won't happen to you someday with something else.
How about as a consumer?
Do you have a favorite restaurant?
Is it privately owned? ( Not a national chain )
How would you like it if your favorite restaurant or bar closed?
Do any freinds or relatives work at such establishments?
Do you wish to assist in their financial survival while they look for new employment?
Just food for thought..
Just one other thought for you to contemplate:
"First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out.
Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out.
Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out.
And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me."

Other people's freedoms are your concern too..
. . . yet.
If you think that then you don't understand what this is all about.
It's not about smoking and health any more than seat belt laws were about safety.
It's about control .
Sit down and list the freedoms you have lost in the last thirty years, and you'll have an idea of the agenda.
THIS may not effect you, but the ones coming surely will.
"As a non-smoker, this has little bearing on me, personally."
Are you a private property owner? If so, it has everything to do with you.
However, I also value property rights and my own liberty. Property owners should have the right to run their business as they see fit. If you know that smoking is allowed and you enter anyway, where have your rights been violated? I am an adult citizen. I should have the right to choose to enter a smoking establishment or go elsewhere. It's all about informed consent.
