As for myself and Mrs. TXBSAFH we have a retirer racing Greyhound named Patti. As sweet lazy 40 mph couch potato, I mean if the dog got any calmer it would involve a taxidermist.
We felt the need for speed.
Thanks...(yours too of course!)
We just recently (finally) purchased a digital (after yrs of research - my hang up of course) and these were some of the first. I certainly have much to learn about my new camera & taking photos in general, but this camera makes it a little easier any way ;^)
GREAT tagline! :-)
Wow! That is so cool! Please, tell me you picked that one of like 500 other photos. If not, you really have a "nack".
Very excellent photos! You have "caught" so many awesome pet "looks" with your camera!
I have found myself taking the most photos of our cat...and I think it's because she seems to always be "posing" & playful(as opposed to the dogs-usually licking-something-leg,couch,carpet,etc). Anyway, after seeing your pix, I need to keep working at my "snaps"....I would love to have the nice set of images that you have just displayed!
Have fun! Your pets will become hams for the camera. My best suggestion with digital photography is to use natural light and avoid the flash. Dusk is an especially great time for photos mainly because the shadow play is excellent. Good luck!
What I like best about ours is that she will lay on my feet while I nap and keep them warm. She's a real booger to strangers though but as long as we let her sniff the company she will calm down and let them in. If not every hair along her back will stand straight up.
I have been considering a Vizsla. Our last dog was a very loveable Springer Spaniel who could do lots of tricks and was very protective of me, but he would not stay or come. Does your dog stick around? I just don't want a dog that I have to keep tied up when he's outside.
"How did that happen???"
I am thinking the Daschund used a ladder, but I cannot be certain. :)
Loved your beautifully written story, but it made me cry.
All of your dogs were so fortunate to have been with your family.
A Caucasian Ovcharka, Brucey. He's 170lbs of mommas boy. Big sissy will jump over puddles 'cause he hates getting his feet wet. Smart folks don't mess with Bruceys mom when Brucey is around. LOL!
