The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread! - Thread FOUR

*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I know my fingers are getting tired:)

I need to stop anyway, and go get something accomplished. I need to go to the store, and I want to plant, and I need to ride Rock, and run the vacum...

I checked out the link - I wish their pictures were larger so I could get a better look. It looks like they have a very nice performance stallion.

It's blustery march weather here, warmer then lately but still cold. Makes me want to stay inside.

You just need a new keyboard. They're relatively inexpensive.

Hi, you look like you are having a blast! great photo!
As for Duchess foal, I think I like TE Final Fantasy best too. Its got a good ring to it, I hope Duchess manages to get that one!
We are having another cold day, and rain, so I have lit a fire in the living room and Tommy is sprawled out on the rug in front of it, as happy as can be, with PB & Jelly sarnies and his trains! : )

A fire in the living room sounds lovely! Throw a log on for me. It's cold and rainy here too. I didn't even go out for lunch, just had a microwave dinner at my desk. My husband and I used to go out for lunch every day since we both worked at the same place, but he started a new job in another town when we got back from vacation so I lost my lunch buddy. I have office mates I go with sometimes, but it's not the same as going with your sweetie. Yesterday at lunch, I got the oil changed in the Jeep. The day before that I went to Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart lunches can get quite expensive! ;o)

Are the ones that are remote for a webtv inexpensive? I can't remember what we gave for this. It didn't come with the system.

Very little sun, but the temps are coming up. I can go out and be comfortable in a sweatshirt.

Urgh, cottage cheese rates right up there with peanut butter~
I had a baked potato with onions/sweetcorn and cheese all melted on top. YUM!
Fire is still roaring! Nice and warm, I have been snuggled up on the couch watching Little bear with Tommy. He has now gone to play farms with his tractors and little animals.
I watched a little bit of adoption stories till my heart almost broke, then came up here to check e-mail.
It is still raining and I am looking forward to the 4 o'clock feed! : )

I often think musical terms are good for horses

How about "Sprechstimme"? Or "Anacrusis"? ;~D

I was just about to go work on our drainage... it's raining good enough now to really work on slooshing it clear.

The vet's wife called and said she'd set out Bay's medicine in the pickup box by this afternoon. I think Bay is down today, but it might just be the dreariness of the rain. Do you have any checks to pay for it?

LOL I'll send Tommy to help you! He loves water too, especially the part where he jumps into a really huge puddle and everyone nearby screams when they get wet! : D
