*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Previous threads:

The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread - Thread TWO!
The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread - Thread THREE!

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!

She's so cute. I probably would have fallen for her too.

Peanut butter banana sandwhichs are the best. My grandmother used to make me banana toast when I was little. You take toast and spread banana over it. So good...

Those pleading eyes behind the cage door was what did it.

She likes to chase cats, it's hilarious. My cats aren't afraid of dogs so they'll play the game for a minute then turn around and stop. This little dog looks like she's thinking, "oh my, the cat stopped. what do I do now?"

How can you think PB&J is wierd? It's a staple! I take it that you've never had a peanut butter and fluff sandwhich.

On the news. No way would I go out there right now. Kind of funny. Beer bottles supposedly everywhere and cuts and scrapes (not funny) and no arrests. Police want video tapes but no witnesses with video tapes or naming names. They may be rivals but ....

Great things to do with PB and Bananas

1. PB toast - Put it on hot toast and the PB starts to melt!

2. Banana pancakes. Mush up the bananas and put them in the pancake mix. Yum-yum!

3. PB and Banana sandwiches. Greatness!

4. Put a banana peel outside Tuffy's front door.

I've never tried frozen bananas. Heard great things about but never have tried.

It's in North Carlolina, near Tennessee and Virginia, so would be perfect to check out real estate while we were up there......

I hate it when the weather changes so much that it halts all my plans. We were going to get hay this morning, but that isn't happening because of the rain, I wanted to work with the colts and maybe ride Smokey or Sugar, but I don't want to chance slipping even if the rain stops.
I guess I'll change out the bed linen..........exciting stuff : (

Good morning.... I haven't had much horsey to report... Yesterday I was on the forum arguing bitterly all day, today I hope to do something both pleasant and productive!

It's suppose to be a bit warmer this afternoon. Looney is suppose to come and ride when she gets off work.
