Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Yes to your question, Emma is a kid!~ She will be 11 at the end of this month. She loves jewlery, clothes, horses, movies, computers, science stuff, books and sleepovers!
She was asking about your foal and I showed her him, She thinks he is beautiful! I told her about finding a name and what Mom and Dads names were, which she wrote down and then I left her to it as I had Tommy in the bath! She got the "bug" for posting to you whn thunder was born! : D
'Fraid so :) I do wish he weren't such a hard headed little thing though.
Well, her posts are always great :) She is an old soul in a young body.
She is just really interested in everything around her! I will show her the pics of your new puppy tomorow tuffydoodle! She adores Benji and visa-versa.
Well I am heading to the hot tub : ) Tommorow we have got to go and get some more hay, and then we plan on working with more with the colts. Hopefully the weather will be good.

Naming him after Tuffydoodle? Very appropriate given he shares the same characteristics.
Tuffy is a great barn name. When I bought Tuffy, he only went by Tuff. We added the Y.
I like both names in the running but I really like Final Fantasy. It's the name of a beautiful song my daughter plays on the piano. Wish there was a way you could hear it.
For real? A real brawl? Did you see it or was it on the news?
Emma sounds like a combination of my 2 oldest daughters. One likes movies, computers and books and critters, the other one likes clothes, sleppovers, jewelry, pretty much anything girlish.
