*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*
Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Good one! The last time Mr Frog and I went canoeing he managed to do the same thing only I didn't do it on purpose. How one person can manage to fall out of a canoe going down a creek and not the other one is a mystery to me. One minute he's back there and, flip, the next minute he's not. It's a "man thing" I think. Higher center of gravity and all. I didn't dare laugh. He looked like an old wet hen. ;o)
The Poconos. Supposed to be very secluded and their hot tubs are heart shaped....
I know what it is...you like to relax in the hot tub nekkid! ;o)
Let the virtual tour run.
Oh i laughed when deaconjim went in the water......! Trust me on that, I laughed a lot! : D
I just checked out the radar loop. Looks like we're going to miss most of the stuff you're getting.

WOW! It loks like a beautiful place! I went to HOME and saved it to Favs to browse with deaconjim. I hope you have a wonderful time!
Um u got me on that one! (blushes).
We have our own hot tub here and theres nothing like getting in it at midnight relaxing the day away : )
We had an 18 foot natural hot tub up awhile back. No kids, fenced back yard. Clothes optional after dark:')
LOL! I thought so. I always thought it'd be really cool to be in an outdoor hot tub when it was snowing. I'm sure getting out when it's that cold isn't exactly fun though.
Thank you very much. I am so ready for a vacation. So, tired of cold and snow. I have got to get my butt on a horse, before I go. Nothing like a trail ride in the Smokies, but I want to be in shape for it.
We would have to ride the horses up there and back, but I'm o.k. with that. May have to take a little more time off from work though.
I love to travel. I have been to many countries and love to see new places.
There is nothing like soaking up some relaxing time at a log cabin!
I find that at home, I can always find jobs to do and it is so much harder to relax. When you are away, you can just let the cares of the world disapear and enjoy the moment more. : )
Where are you on that map? Looks like the Oklahoma panhandle is gonna get some snow.
What other countries have you been to? What are your favorites? What did you like the least?
I don't like to travel but I love reading about other people's travels.
Yeah, that's nice. My in-laws have a pool and we do that at their place. The water is so nice and warm after dark. I like it better than swimming in the daytime. You don't have to worry about getting sunburned.
