The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread! - Thread FOUR

*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Previous threads:

The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread - thread ONE
The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread - Thread TWO!
The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread - Thread THREE!

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!

If I knew friends that needed such an arrangement, I'd sure think about it... it'd be better than what we have now!

But I don't know any... friends who have horses all have trucks and trailers...

I am sure that she would love to go. You will have to put a bug in her ear.....

Well, that doesn't sound very nice, but she could come up here to avoid bugs in her ears... we don't have msoquitos too bad in summer. ;~D

She seems to have a knack for finding land that has plenty of water....... : )

Hmmm... does she use a divining rod for that? ;~D

I'm not chuckling about her coming up here, that would be great. I'm chuckling about putting bugs in her ears. ;~D

I'm going to visit Becky this summer in June... I think that will be the first ride... No - that's not true, because Becky and Cindy rode together when Cindy bought the horse.

Shoot, I knew there was something I was supposed to be doing when I was out there messing with cameras. :( I got sidetracked. I'll ask my DIL to do it tomorrow when she's here or do it myself on Sunday.

I do have the cameras running though so I did get something done.

That would be Farah - Fantasized is her registered name. She foals at about 324 days so by my calculations, she is due between Feb. 25th and March 5th. She stood for a long time last year when she was bred, that's why the long stretch. Probably closer to the 5th. She usually foals in the afternoon too, not at night.
