I hope the Missus and Nana are feeling better too!
Hey Suz...what do you think? Steve and I were talking about making a cinnamon raisin bread in the bread machine. So I looked up recipes on line and many are very similar to the one I use for my everyday bread, except that it calls for an extra tbsp of sugar. Well, I think my bread is plenty sweet as it is, so do you think I can just leave that extra tablespoon out? The recipe I'm planning on using is this:
2 tbsp oil
300ml warm milk
16oz weighed all-purpose flour (3 cups)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup raisins (added at second kneading)
The only difference between this and the bread I make with great success every day is the cinnamon and the raisins.
Any thoughts?
Another reason I'm loathe to add another tablespoon of sugar is because the crust of my bread, even on "light", comes out very dark. I'm afraid another tbsp of sugar will just make it even darker.
