okay... the g'nad's are gonna get a new home PC, to replace the 8 y/o rebuilt system that I've been nursing but just can't take floggin' anymore...

desktop, no requirement fer laptop...

considering a reconditioned Dell, or a new Dell...

discuss...

Dell reconditioned should be adaquete. Do NOT get a Celeron processor. It's more for Pentium but it's seriously worth the price.

What precisely do you want the computer for? How big a hard drive do you want? It's a good idea to pay a little more for extra RAM... lesseee... Dell desktops can be nice pieces of machinery. That's mostly what we have at school and I rarely have to deal with hardware problems.
