Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Sometimes when God closes a door, He throws you through the attic ceiling. Now there's a comforting thought! ;o)

Happy to keep you in my prayers, Ruthy, but be careful about those prayer requests. Just look what's happened with Rosie!
Who knows? Maybe this is God's way of saying it's time for you to move. You HAVE been thinking about it for a while, and now you have this nice home without mold that someone is sure to love. ;o)

Big time prayers headed your way, Ruthy!
And what's the worst case scenario? Maybe it's a sign to follow your dreams! ;-)
I know, I know...easy for me to say...
But I'll be prayin', for sure!

Phew! Just finished taking a load of pretty much all my belongings out to the house. It all fit in the van with room to spare (didn't put ANYTHING in the middle of the van - only the back), so that's good. Only other things I'll have to fit are my instruments, clothes and dishes. Oh, and the cats. But in other words, if I mail the books, I shouldn't have any problem cramming everything in. Good to know! I was a little worried about that...
Headed to the vet's now. Prayers requested!

You're right, Suzi. I really despise what Miami has become, but had settled on the fact that it is where I am supposed to be right now.
In terms of a better standard of living, there can be no doubt that leaving this city would be better all around. Northern Florida has better schools, lower crime, less traffic, plenty of work available and lower cost of living.
My head is ready to leave, but my heart is pained at the thought of driving away from my grandparents, my aunt and cousins....and not seeing them as often as I'm used to.

Well, Martha has been out for a nice walk, pet her horses, but has not yet had breakfast.
Speculation precedes actual details sure to follow.

Martha is also wearing a lovely fashion accessory around the ankle I hear. *grin*
I can't say I don't like her products though. I have one of her bed-in-a-bag sets and the quality isn't half-bad, considering the price.

Bagging a bed. It's a good thing.
Better than bedding a bag. ;~D
