The Hobbit Hole XIX - Tomorrow we may come this way...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 01/27/2005 9:59:05 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Tomorrow we may come this way...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Old movie about what happens when Earth is dooooooooooooomed to be smashed, and only a few people can be evacuated.

Your dream report reminded me.

Heh...yep, that was about it! And I really wanted to bring Tam, but I knew he wouldn't let me quietly hide him under my coat or something. Brat.

Currently, he's busy slamming his own paws in the desk drawer trying to get out his fetch ball, which I hid because I'm TIRED of playing fetch.

hehehe... luuuuuvs it we does.

Thing is, I *should* love it. It's a great job. With (mostly) great people. I don't understand why I don't love it. But my give-a-$#!7 level is low and slipping. Dunno.

Oh well. Could be worse.

Gooooood kitty!

Tam managed to extricate it, though he bumped his nose so hard he was sneezing for awhile. Now he's yowling 'cause I'm not throwing the ball fast enough.

Please...don't mention our seventh planet around the dwarves. It's just NOT a good thing to do.

Yeah. There's this alien with a really bad attitude pulling nightmares out of the crew's heads....I think they just zapped it.

Man...I love those really old sci-fi flicks. They're entertaining on so many levels...none of them the level the makers originally intended.

Now they're wasting air arguing about whether they have enough air to make it back to the ship....oops! The alien is still alive.

"The alien entity is trying to destroy us with our own stupidity."

I'll have to remember that one.
