The Hobbit Hole XIX - Tomorrow we may come this way...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 01/27/2005 9:59:05 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Tomorrow we may come this way...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

You're a hobbit holer, that makes you family.

Hope you won't mind if I wander around in my underwear of an evening ;-)

I am hopeful, based on how I'm feeling better, that I'll be a lot better tomorrow. And this gives me a good chance to study, anyway.

I'm off! It's a gorgeous day so I'm going to the thrift store. I like to buy cheap pancake turners and measuring cups and measuring spoons. One can never have too many imo and ever now and then, when the mood strikes me, I go off and buy some. They're usually pretty cheap...ten cents or less.

Bowls too...especially really good bowls like Tupperware with lids.

(The reason the fact that it's a gorgeous day matters is because I won't be getting the jedis out on a bad day and then have the car break down! LOL)

Where'd everyone go?

Oh, yeah, what's the date for Easter this year? I'm sort of calendar-less (not really, but it doesn't have holidays written in) and I need to do some planning.

I'm still around, just working on some stuff...

Easter is the last weekend in March, I think.

Oh! The *WHOLE* office is making characters of themselves. It's a riot. One room has made a sign for their door of all the occupants. :)

Back to work now. *grumble*

I need to make a decision about something before 6:00 p.m. Do you have an extra chicken we could sacrifice?

Flip a coin. Or tell us and we'll make a bad choice for you :-)

She's out buying measuring cups...

I'm busy... playing with the south park characters. I put all of them on plain backgrounds in preparation for putting them together. Rather than trying to erase the backgrounds out, I found it easier to just re-create them from scratch.

Which means, I now feel like I have seen you all nekkid.
