The Hobbit Hole XIX - Tomorrow we may come this way...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Tomorrow we may come this way...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Doing much better, feeling darn near normal, or what passes for normal in my case. LSA's TLC and Chicken Soup have beaten back 'The Nine' once again.

That's good.

You've got "Nazflu?"

...Olive Garden once...Do you know if they're right off the interstate?

Not far.

That's not bad! Looks like a pretty straight shot.

I think Olive Garden's likely a good choice - don't they have desserts and such, too? So if it ends up being a little later than lunch, that'll be fine.

I should hear from my friend within a short time...otherwise, we should be there (as I said) somewhere around noon or noon thirty. ;-)

Evenin' everybody... :-)

[sigh] Meetings. I think I could just do without them. Has anybody ever been to a meeting that was actually a productive use of time? I'm not sure I ever have.

Never hang wallpaper with someone that you ever wish to speak to again.

My little bit of advice. :-)

I don't do wallpaper. :)

My wall is all touched up. Now I need to go find some drapery stuff.

I downloaded a program that lets you enter your commonly bought groceries and their prices into a database, then...when you're ready to buy groceries...

[thunk of jaw on desk] Wow. I'm lucky to even remember to take a list with me. Heck... I'm lucky to remember what stuff costs *after* I buy it, let alone *in advance*.

Dad is sorta like that. He's got the prices of stuff memorized at every store in town. There's just no way I could track all that.

"Nazflu". Great description. I think I'll be stealing it.

Yes, we did... and we musta got it right, seein' how it is still there...

That was the advice of the gal at the wallpaper shop. Seemed like good advice.

I'm guessin' that goes for a lot of "home improvement" type projects, though wallpaper's certainly a biggie. At least painting doesn't require one person to hold the brush and another to keep the wall level or sumpin...

Every time I think about attempting wallpapering, I start having 3 Stooges flashbacks.

"No wonder there's no water....these pipes are full of wires!"

And there's the one where they get this guy to mix polka dot paint.

And Corin's life being what it is, there are a lot of anniversaries-of-evil-happenings for it to reoccur on...

Sorry, Corin!
