I think it's gonna be another Pepsi day.
I really want something sweet. Preferably chocolate...but Pepsi'd help.
You're not allowed to die.
crap
Not many know...just my boss and the network admin guy. He came up and congratulated me and also said he'd be a reference. I should tell one more person, so's I have three references...but it's hard to just do that!
I heard them talkin' something about "so-and-so would like that position", which I'm assuming is my position. I'm tryin' not to take that personally...but you know how I am. ;-)
Who cares? You're quitting, they have to make arrangements. They'll miss you, of course.
And good for the network admin guy! Now you start filling out that application for the position... you know the one...
I'm sure you'll be able to find another reference. As soon as someone says they're willing, get that resume OUT!! And good luck on the job search!
Mwahaha... I saw that already this morning....
Ha!
Just now, I walked over, paused Joshua's tape where his teacher was discussing gallons quarts and such. I asked him "Joshua, what is your teacher talking about?" He glanced over at the TV nervously and said "A glass jar?" I said "No...were you not paying attention?" Frantically, he said "A plastic jar?"
Anyway, since playing on the computer hinges on whether or not he puts forth a good effort in school...he's grounded from the computer till after school tomorrow.
"...and there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth."
mmmmmm...gnashing...
Luke does pre-emptive tantrums. If we tell him to do something and threaten to take something away, he'll start crying because he wants whatever it is. We're working on getting him to understand that he's in control of the decision and the consequences.
Lord knows the 15-year-old hasn't figgered that one out yet.
See, that's why I couldn't do video learning. For me, when the tv goes on, my brain goes off. I would have to turn off the sound and turn on subtitles to concentrate - the act of reading would keep me alert.
It's only for one day...he gets to redeem himself tomorrow by putting forth a good effort then. Still, it's a rainy day and nothing to do outside...gonna be a long 24 hours.
For both of us...
Hand him a book. Teach him that there are things in the world better than computer games!
Tell me more about the place you're thinking of...I will have it built and then put in on the market for you. :-)
Mrsnad
Oh yeah... TPL... I have an appointment in an hour or so to get a new prescription... they're going to want to make me get a certain exam that I don't want and don't really need, so just pray I don't have too!
there could be...
Mrsnad
Gotcha! Will do!
And I just sent an e-mail to a certain department with my resume attached...so that's TPL material, too!
Well, he's done just fine with it all these months...he woke up with a bad attitude. Was giving me grief about it before we even started...which is a no-no in it's self.
We all have our days, but bad behavior isn't generally tolerated in institutions of higher education, nor is it tolerated in the workplace. Bad behavior in the home education setting shouldn't be overlooked casually.
I think the punishment fit the crime and the age of the perp! LOL Besides, he'll end up making something in the kitchen with me. The subject he was neglecting was math, namely amounts, like quarts and such. I'll reinforce that in the kitchen and he'll have a blast.
