I hate it you're feeling under the weather again...
I agree, you need to see an allergist.
Ain't gonna go near that one... 'xcpt to comment that my old mac was my most reliably networked machine. It always played nice the the others... until that damn 10.3.8 patch a week or two back.... grrrr. I hate it when they break stuff that was working fine.
Good morning, sir!
I'm on my second day of 1/6th decaf coffee. I woke up at 7am with a splitting headache. Took some ibuprofen and went back to sleep till 9am. Only woke up because Joshua was climbing in with me.
Is there even such a thing as painted wood-plank floors?
Painted???? Why the heck would you want to? I am sure someone some where has done that but it seems such a waste.
I know it...it's so nice. I turned my hand into a puppet named "Bran Flakes" and he visited with Bran Flakes for a while.
It's an image I keep gettin'! I don't have any control over it!
:-)
Got a new pair of running shoes yesterday and thereby removed one of my excuses for not going to the gym. Now that spring is starting to get here I am trying to get back on a 'upswing' in the cycle of fit/unfit.
Besides, it's just planks...not nice wood flooring. Just like 1x6's. Painted white.
Ahhh...gettin' fit! Good for you!
I gotta go...school's starting. I'll probably check back in a bit, once I get them going.
Oh, yeah! It's all the rage in 'country decorating'. Folks will do that if the finish on the old wood floors in the home they buy is in poor shape. Some will do it with brand new floors, just to get the look they want. It looks nice, when done well.
Images, eh? Sounds like you're psycho.... er, psychic...
~snicker~
I resemble that remark. ;-)
I would think a porch paint with a polyurethane coat would work...the scuffing would just add to the attraction.
I've been thinking about it and I remember now where I saw this before...it's not just pulled out of thin air like I thought at first! I witnessed this years ago...and I mean many years ago, when I was first going to school back in the early 80s...LVN school. I was living with a Mexican family and they took me to see their tia...'aunt'. She lived in what I considered to be horrible conditions at the time...cooking at a wood stove, the floor was planks painted white and you could actually see the ground under them. She was cooking tortillas. I remember just being appalled at the poverty.
But the kids were just running in and out of that house happy as clams.
So, I guess I've been taking the things I like from that scenario and applying them to me. I liked the floor, but not the dirty under it. I liked the wood stove, but not the tiny area. I liked the screen door slamming. Heck, there were chickens outside that door even!
That was a pretty happy and peaceful time in my life.
I'm going to die now.
I'd like to be creamated and my ashes thrown on the compost pile.
Heh...poor fella.
Heh!! I swear, I have not thought about that visit to Tia's house in YEARS...probably never since I met Steve and got married.
Man... hang in there. It's just not right that you've been ill so often this season.
