Wahoo! Good for you!

I guess! ;-) Now I can tell other people without worrying about it getting back to work. That's the more positive side.

This still seems wayyyyy unreal, even now. I can think up to the point of moving in at home, but anything beyond that...I just don't know. Especially, as I've said, the driving part.

Don't Panic.

It's kind of unreal for me, too. I have to start figuring out logistics... we'll have to discuss things like, is it better for me to move my desk and stuff into the bedroom and keep your mattress in the living room, or what. I hope we can get a bigger place soon just so we have elbow room. And so I can keep my lovely Friday night "watch anime til three am" habit.

Well...a lot of that will depend on what the office says tomorrow! If they're adament on the cat policy, I may be a neighbor rather than a roomie. ;-)

Would you also be asking them then about the possibility of switching to a two bedroom pretty quickly? After the house closing...I could certainly send something on if need be to reserve a spot.

Yeah, I'll be asking them, hopefully they'll cooperate.

I'm not too concerned about the cat policy, honestly, since the posting they have on the building's bulletin board just says "cats are permitted with deposit", and no other conditions.

What do they want with all those cat "deposits?"

I would think they'd be happy to let you switch, considering they'd be getting more rent!

I'm going home to pretend I don't really have a cold.

I keep having a picture come to my mind lately...

I'm standing in a huge kitchen, cooking something. I hear a screen door slam and a little girl runs into the kitchen after being dropped off by one of my daughter in laws. She seems happy to see me, but used to it too...comfortable.

The house is like a farm house, big and airy, bright...plank wooden floors that are painted! The windows are open and a breeze is going through.

It's just a flash of an image and then it's gone. But it makes me happy to think about it.

Found a neat recipe, if you like molasses. Warm up a cup of milk and pour some molasses in it!

Mmmm!

Also, I am working on writing a recipe for a high fiber bread for Steve. He loves my Craptacular Bread, but it really is too much empty carbs for him to guiltlessly eat.

So here's the prototype I'm making right now...

In the bottom of the bread machine put:

2 tbsp canola oil
300ml warm water

Weigh out using postal scale:

8 oz All-purpose flour
6 oz Whole wheat flour
1 oz Wheat bran
1 oz Ground flaxseed meal

Add to the flours

1 tsp salt
1 heaping tsp sugar

Stir the flours well, then put on top of water and oil in bread machine. Make a pit in the middle and put 1 heaping tsp of instant yeast in the pit.

Now, I'm baking this using the regular white bread (1.5lb) setting, not the wheat bread setting.

It 'looks' fantastic. I'll let you know what Steve thinks. I am pretty sure I won't care for it...but we'll see.

So...is it an old wooden screen door, or a newfangled one? ;-)

Just made me think...because there's been a long discussion on my guitar list (they're almost Hobbit Hole like!) about the nicest sounds, and that's one that people went on and on about. I've only known a few people with old wood doors, but I know what they mean! It's homey.

I just hope God intends for me to see kids, let alone grandkids! Maybe this move will be the first step, who knows? I'm not moving with that as my sole intent, but I admit it's on my hopes list...

Tell us how it turns out! One loaf?

Since I wouldn't use a bread machine if I made it, I could be a little less precise, I suppose. About how much is 300ml of water?

An old wooden one! You've got the image!

It's just is such a bright and peaceful image I get.

Just to the bottom of the spout on a pyrex 1-cup measuring cup! :-)

It collapsed. I'm disappointed. Well, it might taste ok...

"They cook them twice, so they are twice as hot!"

Oh yeah?

But what about refried beans?

Woot! I finally got a box to fit Fruits Basket and the manga in! The one they came in was shot. So I SHOULD be able to mail that out tomorrow. Might could send a box or two o' books or clothes, too, if that'd be OK.
