Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Did I get the right scene though? Now that I think about it, I'm not sure. I haven't watched the movie all the way through in probably 15 years or more.

I didn't know you were a sucker for a girl scout... "Hey Mr. Man, want some cookies?"
I haven't had girl scout cookies for years, and I'd buy some if I saw them offered! I love the peanut butter and chocolate ones, and the mint ones. I miss out on that, living behind a padlocked gate... that and trick or treaters, and Jehovah's Witnesses, and lazy burglars. ;~D

That's okay. It's a long movie...
Who could sit for four hours anyway?
Oh wait...

Rosie, I bet they get a lot of people that shaft them big time when it comes to notice. Your behavior is extraordinarily professional and will serve you well in the future.

I didn't know you were a sucker for a girl scout... "Hey Mr. Man, want some cookies?" I've never bought girl scout cookies from a girl scout, just from their parents, usually at work.
"How many do you want?"
"Two peanutbutter patties, two thin mints."
"Okay, that's four boxes, that will be ..."
"No, two boxes of thin mints, two cases of peanutbutter patties".
I then spend the next five minutes convincing him/her that I really, really, really want that many peanutbutter patties.

I delete all my cookies once a week, so no problems at all.
Why the Girl Scouts want to track my online activity, I'll never know.

Mmmmm...peanut butter patties....
It would be really bad for me to keep that many around, though.
Not that the thin mints would be much better....
Luckily there don't seem to be any people related to girl scouts at this particular workplace.
