Ha!
We had it budgeted down to THE PENNY this last pay period...made Steve very nervous. We both watched it like a hawk as each bill came through because there was NO room for error!
Gosh, I wish our income tax would come in! It's been two weeks! I thought auto deposit was quick!

Rosie, one thing I've learned about posting a thread...RARELY is it ever completely positive. There is someone out there just holding it in so they can pee in your cornflakes. When that happens (and I assure you it will), just blow it off. Ignore it. Don't get pulled in to it.

Post that thread, Rosie! FR is full of helpful people.
Just take 2J's advice and ignore the thread police that will undoubtedly show up. :-D
And for a much needed laugh, check out the voicemail this guy left for his boss. Great!!

general chat.... where we are. Bloggers is for people who have blogs they want to publicize, or see blog articles they want to post.

Thanks everyone for the kind wishes. I wish I could say I felt better today.
I went to the infirmary on Monday, where they told me I have the viral infection that holds our whole campus hostage, and to take sudafed and some weird thing for my chest. I don't know if it's working at all. It's hard to imagine that I'd be worse off not taking it.
I'm going to attempt school and such today. Especially since I missed a lecture and a half on Tuesday.

Or people saying something nasty about her giving her cats away...how can she do that? I had that when I gave Terra back, after she bit Matthew. How could I just turn my back on her?
Made me feel awful.
The only thing you can do, Rosie, is not respond and don't let it get to you (too much).

Mornin' Everyone!! Have had a hectic couple of days, so far. Met with our Other Homeschooling family yesterday...took a trip to the library to find projects for the girls to do in American history. She's gonna take them on Mondays to do history, and Im gonna take them on Wed to do science. Im plotting an archaeological dig as we speak! LOL No, actually, the first unit will be on air, water, and weather. Hubby just bought a really cool weather station that monitors EVERYTHING. It poured down rain last weekend, and the little monitor which has all the measurements and googaws that meteorologists only understand came up with this conclusion : It was "raining cats and dogs!" It said that! Anyway, I thought that would be something I could work a lesson up around. Next unit after that will be geology covering different kinds of rocks and how crystals form. I plan to conclude that unit with a trip to the Natural History museum where they have a really nice exhibit on gems.
I've already unloaded on my poor homeschool friend about Texas history! I bored the poor lady to death yesterday.

Those are the ones I'm dreading. I'm sometimes asking myself the same questions...but on the other hand, I'm having a hard enough time overcoming the mental obstacles concerning getting Tam from point A to point B...I can't imagine doing it with three, particularly when the other two don't travel well.
Still VEY hard, though.
*sniff*

Don't try to justify either...
If someone asks just say you're moving across the country and can't take them with you.
All these solutions will be offered. Just ignore them. You're moving and can't take them with you.
People will try to fix it for you, lay a guilt trip on you...all kinds of stuff. Maybe. I dunno...maybe not! But just be prepared. You'll get people who are interested and that's who you respond and focus on!
