New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Can you animate that?
That's the most hideous night light I think we've ever had here...
Only if I pick up the monitor and shake it...
g'nite
F16s flying over. Four of 'em.
God bless 'em. Keep 'em safe.
I pray it every time they fly over.
Good night.
Ours? :-)
Oh... that's classic. I have a use for that.
Heh!
I hope so!
Heh...I've seen that before, but it's always good for a laugh!
Evenin' everyone!
Scruffy's stitches are out and he's looking good. The vet needs to see him in a month for a recheck.
Next on the agenda....Jessi MUST be spayed. I'm praying it calms her down a bit, as hopeless as it sounds. She's as destructive as a tornado!
HI Rutheeee! :-)
Time to go to the vets and get tutored, eh?
Tutored or tortured? :-D
Poor Jessi. She's hopeless.
That's exactly how they (mis)use Powerpoint at a certain Japanese automaker. And everything on the slide is "company confidential", which means no copies are allowed. So they give everyone 15 minutes per slide to copy all the numbers down.
Don't ask me about the 200MB Excel file that arrives by email once a week, that contains the entire financial existence of the company. Or the 50MB Excel graph that takes 45 minutes for the printer to process, and has to be read with a magnifying glass. Or why they buy printers that can handle 17x22 paper, so they can turn the paper gray with tiny printing, and then fold the paper until it fits in their day planners.
I want *so* bad to be able to enforce mail quotas. It'll never happen, though.
Yah... Josie *really* hated me for some weeks after the trip to the vets... come to think of it... she still doesn't like me all that much. :-)
Cats can hold one serious grudge!
We have a disk quota here. The undergrads are always going over. I love telling someone who can't log in "Your account's been disabled for quota violation. I'll reactivate it and then you clean up like a good boy".
Hullo all. I'm exhausted, but done with the homework that's due at midnight. So I can have a shower, read, and maybe go to bed if I can just settle down.
Hearing you all talk about e-mails just reminded me to clean out my December e-mails from my client folders in Outlook.
*wonders if IT department is cursing at me*
Sigh... well... if they were just emails, maybe not. If they all had powerpoint attatchments, that's a different story.
might as well...
