Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good Morning ALL - COFFEE -
Gots to get Gypsygirl her morning walk and see what excitement the shire has to offer today.
Rosie - good luck on your quest, mission, thing. :-)
OT-got the highlander washed yesterday, looks much better without a coating of debitage.
Hair - We concur with your assessment, 18-21 yrs is the time for tempering the body's system to the consumption of vast quantities of spirits.
G'nad - hmmmm. Brush Hawg.

I've decided I have to get you into Wolfstone. They're giving a concert in Denver in August.
And I mean...what's not to like about bagpipes, electric guitar, and rockin' rhythm! They are awesome.

Oh...and based on that group you sent me a link to yesterday (I like, by the way!), you'd love Lunasa and Wolfstone. Check
'em out!

I love the banjo in the first MP3 they have on their music page. Mm...really sounds good! And mando, too. This is really good!
Oh, you might like Old Blind Dogs, too...though a lot of their lyrics - in the Scottish tradition - involve sneaking in bedroom windows. Ya know...for a somewhat staid culture (or so we often think of 'em), they sure have a lot of rather suggestive songs in their traditional repertoire.

Steve's gone, likely for the rest of the day. It's raining and he's out at his wetland doing research.
Sigh...

Yes ma'am, I am feeling better. Still coughing and battling dizziness. The dotcor said the dizziness was due to fluid in both my ears!
I want to get out and DO something, but I don't have enough energy to do alot of driving. I am trying to get my mom to come over. I think it is a losing battle. She doesn't want to drive an hour to get here. :-)

Did they give you anything for the dizziness? Antivert is the prescription but Sudafed might help too...you want to dry things out and that's what these two meds do.
My dizziness is neurological...which is why the Antivert and the Sudafed didn't work.
I got a portion of our state income tax return the other day in the mail...the rest should go right into the bank. Gonna pay off a couple of bills...I love that feeling!
I miss Steve, won't get to work on the Bug today either, but at least I can pay off these two bills!

We filed taxes last week. We have to get a new (or used) car to replace to one I drive. When I got it 5 years ago, I did'nt realize I was getting into a lease. I have reviewed the contract and sure enough it's a lease. I will not go into the ins and outs, but when it is all said and done, I can turn it in early as long as it is within the same year as the turn in date, and under mileage (which it is).
I am looking for something that *****has more than 2 doors***** and seats more than 4 people. So far I am looking at Saturn VUE and Relay. The Relay is new this year, and I am intrigued, yet apprehensive. I really like the Ford Escape, but the VUE is less expensive and has better ratings.
The whole car situation and the logisitics involved is why we may not get to make shootmoot.

I don't feel confident enough with our van that we won't be driving it to ShootMoot! We're renting a car for that!
Yep, Sudafed would help dry that fluid up in your ears. Before they realized what was wrong with my ear, that was the first thing the doctor prescribed...over the phone.
