The Hobbit Hole XIX - Tomorrow we may come this way...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 01/27/2005 9:59:05 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Tomorrow we may come this way...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Popeye's is on the way to Denver. 3/4 of the way there.

Ok, I'm canceling our call again because today is beautiful, tomorrow is rainy, and I'm driving to Denver this afternoon. For an adventure. Hopefully I'll have the adventure laid out before I leave.

How long of a drive is it to Denver?

Rose and I have been watching "Numb3rs" for a couple weeks now. We enjoy it a lot!

Oh, an hour. And it's pleasant. My car rarely gets into 5th gear these days, so I like taking a quick highway drive every month or so.

Don't you think that Numb3rs guy should be wearing Chuck Taylors, though? I'm disappointed every time I look and he isn't.

An hour is closer than the nearest decent place to shop here! That's not bad.

Have fun! Maybe we can talk tomorrow!

Hah, yes, I'll try to call tomorrow. Sorry, but I've been cooped up (by homework) for so long, my feet have got that rovin' itch. I need to get out on the highway and open up to 80 mph... which is, after all, only 5 over the speed limit for the first long stretch of road.

I am feeling much better today.

the doc says it's bronchitis, gave me some zithromax and robitussin with codeine. Yum (not). Fever topped out yesterday evening at 102.1 and this morning was 97.7 WooHoo! I am still exhausted and hacking quite a bit, but boy it is good to NOT have a headache for once.

I am gonna spend some time enjoying a hugh cup of tea. (shhh, don't tell my aggie friends.)

mmmmmmm....codeine....

I know it's nasty stuff, but when I've got bronchitis or pneumonia, I look forward to the prescription...

Eeeek! I just got a call for a interview about a Web Admin position with a small local company. It's good news, I need the job, but I haven't done an interview in a ~long~ time. Nerve-wracking, it is.
