Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That's what I think...this woman's awe has inhibited her natural motherly instincts...no woman in her RIGHT MIND would let a known sleaze like this near her daughter.
I would think, anyway...

The mom looks like she's checking to be sure Bubba can see down her daughter's shirt properly. YUCK!

Hair!
Evil, evil, evil. The folks at work tied a bunch of balloons just like those to my chair. I wheeled the chair out of my cubicle and got a new one until they took them off.
Those things could pop and sling ribbons of latex everywhere! It's like someone aiming a rubberband at you!

Awww... happy birthday to Luke. Sounds like he's almost old enough for his first BB gun ;-)
Morning all. 'Tis Friday, and the sun shineth.

I think you need some immersion therapy.

Sure, I have to start assignments this weekend, but it's still going to be a pleasant and relaxing weekend. I think.
What time would be good for me to call you today?

Personally, I'm with Ruthy when it comes to the latex balloon business...
When I first became a nurse, it was on the news about this little boy (I believe he was about 5 years old, Corin.) He inhaled a piece of the latex and it obstructed his airway to the point he was brain-dead. They had him on machines and his father went in with a shotgun and held the nurses off while he disconnected him.
Does anyone else remember that? Had to be early to mid 80s when it happened. It was awful.
Anyway, although I've had the balloons around my kids, I'm VERY leery of them and would prefer mylar every time.

You know...taking a serious spin for a minute...this whole move is going to be MAJOR immersion therapy for me. I'm terrified of driving anywhere bigger than here, for one - I've avoided any kind of long distance trips for just that reason. And anything new is scary. Cities are scary. Finding a job is scary.
Mostly I'm afraid of the driving. I got my license very late partly because I was afraid...so this is a hugh step.
Of course, I have the tendency to imagine all possibly problems, so that makes it worse, but...you get the idea!
