Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good morning!
Still snowing. I'm goin' snowshoeing this weekend, at least once!
Did a LOT of boxing and sorting last night. I now have a small pile of finalized boxes...as in they've been checked and rechecked for any things I don't really want to bring. I have a few more boxes in the works. Hope I don't end up with way more than will fit in the van! I still need to look into the cartop carrier idea.

We only ended up with about 2" from the 'storm'. I'm sure kids all over the area were bummed. Worcester had a two hour delay because they have skinny and hilly streets to have to get cleared for school buses, so it gives them more time, but they and one other were the only school systems in the area with delays.
I think snowshoeing would be lots of fun. Skiing, especially cross country, is too much like work, but showshoeing seems to me would be just like hiking, except you have to pick your feet up higher when you step. It would be quiet on the trails, thought, and that would be nice.

Yeah, snowshoeing is a lot like just hiking. More work, though. I love getting out there in this kind of weather, though! So peaceful.

News was sayin' this mornin' that parents have been complaining about that bus driver for months. Part of me is wonderin' if they're just looking for someone to blame. Then I remember all the complaints I made about one of Jr's bus drivers.

You know, you make me very grateful for my mind-numbingly boring life sometimes...
:-)
It's a wonder you don't have blood pressure problems...I'm serious! Mine would be sky high under the amount of stress you're under.
Glad to hear that Nana is going to be alright and that the barfing ones are feeling better! I suspect it's just like the little train coming into the roller coaster platform, though...only flat and smooth long enough to catch your breath! Hehe!
