Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Seriesly, at this point it's not really something I'm thinking about. I just want to go somewhere different! And if it happens, it happens. Doll, sometimes, you have to not only think about it.... you have to act on those thoughts, for it to actually happen ;~D

But I admit, it's not entirely off my list of reasons for moving. The Denver diocese is supposedly one of the better, more conservative dioceses in the country. Could well be some nice Catholic guys there! ;-)

I know ladies... I know.... You know that I know how hard it is waiting around, not knowing where to look.
It works if you work it. Oh wait... that's AA. ;~D

Only that you actually look, and make yourself available to be looked at ;~D when you get there. :~D

I imagine it'll be more like the way it was when I was in Germany...i.e. I had a lot of activities I was part of, partly BECAUSE I couldn't call family all the time to just hang out.
I think I need the shove. This will be good for me.

Just talked to Celeste...today is her son's birthday and I'm taking them to Latin and she's got a plate of cookies and such for me to take with me for his birthday.
She's stumbled on something that is helping her...she is taking Advil! Plain old Advil, 600mg every four hours. Apparently, it's not only helping her pain, it's reducing the inflamation...hopefully she's on the road to recovery.

~sigh~
There was a school bus crash near here yesterday. (Louisa County, Sam). Driver ran off the road and hit a tree. 8 students were injured.
A 16-year-old boy died today at the UVA hospital.

if you an't "go out" maybe you can "go in"
set up nana with a movie, get jr and luke to either "babysit" nana or otherwise go to their rooms.
Think ahead on dinner. The boys will prolly eat just about anything if'n it's somethin they like. Make up the table real nice, light candles, and make a nice dinner for your wife. She deserves it after all. Don't forget the flowers and chocolate! That doesn't seem too pricey. Remember while this is an important day, it is NOT your anniversary (is it?).

Do you have a link to that story... my dad would be interested, in that he used to work with school transportation.

Thanks.... it's pretty unusual for there to be serious injuries in bus accidents, this is a bad one.

Yeah, I'm not sure we have all the details. Local talk radio guy is discussing whether or not seatbelts would've helped. But apparently the kid was not thrown, but was sitting where the bus actually hit the tree. So it doesn't sound like it would have helped.

You'll have to help me find activities we can do where the right sorts of guys hang out! Right now the only activity I'm in is the anime club and I don't think that's the best spot...
