Does appear we'd be
going through Iowa, though I'm not sure if it's the right part of the state. There's also the trouble that we wouldn't have a REAL clear view on time, but if we planned on stopping in such and such a town for the night, that might work...

Oh, hush.
At least I don't have to ask for an explanation of that picture, though.

Great. Now that's good and stuck in my head.

My second loaf of bread did good! I've never had such results in the machine!

Mm...bread.
I'll have to do a lot of baking for the three weeks or so that I'll be living at home! I don't bake as much as I'd like to just because it's only me, but I can sure take advantage of having people to feed. ;-)

I'm thinking of baking up several loaves for shootmoot...freezing them and having them ready...

At Entmoot, WN did some baking right there. Really good bread. I think it lasted about five minutes. ;-)
Maybe could make the dough ahead and then we could bake it there? There's nothing like fresh baked bread!

Don't remember if I told you about this or not, but there is a book (series) that makes a great supplement to any curriculum (and IMHO can be used as the core curriculum if you want) by E. D. Hirsch. There is one for each grade level,
What Your Kindergartener Needs to Know is the first one. He also wrote the book called
Cultural Literacy. You can get the books at places like SAMS or Mardel's.

Then there is also A Well Trained Mind which I think is also very good.

I could bring the whole machine and just keep it going all the time! LOL That way I could let the machine do the work and I won't be distracted from visiting!
I can't wait!
I can't wait till we get our income tax return and pay off Steve's school!
I just have so much to look forward to right now!
