Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

hehehe....
Tell your friend to get her hands on some Luminol to check for the presence of blood after all of the sterilization.
If it still glows under a black light, toss the pyrex in the trash!

I think it was around my birthday, maybe? Said he got me a gift, I remember that.
Bear, can you find that time when i was telling about Steve getting me a couch off the side of the road? Back in maybe the NZ thread or the first one after that...I don't know for sure.

NO really. For some reason a younger Aragon had his family all killed off by evil forces and Gandolf told him to hide out. While he was sneaking through Saromon's place (not sure why). He got discovered so he used some sort of Jedi mind trick to convince him that he was an orc. So Saromon thought he was is servant and asked him to brush is hair. I don't remember much else... The rest was not any more sane.

He heh!!
I gotta feeling it was used for cooking, just not food.
But it's Pyrex brand! I never buy actual pyrex...always the cheaper knock-offs!
And they say crime doesn't pay! ;-)

Weird!
Heh, Matthew came into my room the other night and stood by my bed with his eyes squinched up and his hands out toward us. Steve and I were like "Wha?" then I said "Here, lay down with us for a minute and watch TV!" So Matt climbed in and said "My jedi mind trick worked!"

I dunno. I think I'd have to draw the line at crime scene Pyrex.
Garage sale, yes.
Swap Meet, sure.
Meth lab, no thanks.

Your "friend" is probably okay with what she's done.
But do some Googling. Labs have to be able to get the equipment sterile to get accurate test results.
I worked in a lab my first job out of college. Best I can remember I just ran most of the stuff thru the dishwasher.

But it's Pyrex brand! I never buy actual pyrex...always the cheaper knock-offs! Question is.... why would they get rid of pyrex and peroxide... wont they need it again? Last year's ml not the same as this years new and improved ml?

Confiscated by who?
I'd wonder... what did they put in that, that was so disgusting, even the crime scene lab techs said "eeew... I ain't touchin' that beaker again" ;~D
You mean stolen? Did it still have samples in it? Is some criminal going to go free now because of this? ;~D

Not THAT kind of crime scene! LOL They took the stuff as evidence, I imagine. The dish and the beaker were used to commit a crime. But the stuff piles up, apparently and the people who hold the stuff, after a certain period of time, either auction it, if it has some value, or toss it if it doesn't have much value. I think this was "tossed" stuff.
