I think she needs some of that cholesterol medicine! ;o)
Yep. LOL He found it though, that's the good thing. I'll go next week and have them done. The Lord in His Wisdom stopped me from busting out of here first thing this morning then having to drive home in the snow.
I'm not shaking any more, but I haven't exactly calmed down.
LOL!!! If I wasn't out, I mighta had some and considered it medicinal!
You think God hid your "important papers"? LOL!
The one thing that mystifies me about Irish Step is the fact that they have to hold their arms tight down at their sides. Looks way too restrictive for me! With all that pounding and rhythm, I'd want to be throwing my arms out when the Spirit moved me!
As g'nad would stay "Stoopid birds!" ;o)
I'll just say, "silly girls"!
Yep! He knew all those months ago that I'd be bound and determined, despite weather advisories, to get those taxes done "because it's clear out".
Don't you laugh at me!
Ummm.... I'm laughing with you.... ;~D
I'm laughing with delight at his sense of humor! He slowed me down just long enough for my common sense to kick in. B
Think about it...It was clear, you know...when i started looking. Had I found them, I would have just busted out of here, even though I KNEW it was suppposed to turn bad...hey, the weather's been wrong before. The kids were dressed and everything.
Then I couldn't find the papers. I searched and searched and then by the time I realized Steve had them and by the time Steve found them it was sleeting and going was out of the question...especially with my two kids in a car that is "iffy" on a good day and has bald tires! If it had been clear still, I would have driven to Steve's office and got them!
The Lord just slowed me down till my common sense could kick in!
I'm very thankful at this moment that I couldn't find those papers this morning.
I'm also glad that the Beetle is cozy in the shop and not still out in that field! It's probably been snowed on and rained on many time...but not this time!
When I decided to build, the main thing I went for is "upgradability" - start with a good system, but every few months add to it. I'll save the old things until I want a third computer and then make a new box.
For me, it's a lot of fun and a good challenge, plus with my job being likely to make me pull a cover off a machine and twiddle at a moment's notice, I wanted to refresh my memory of a computer's parts. Things have changed a little bit since I took my hardware class.
I think you're right 2J. Even if you could have gotten home safely, your peace of mind is important, too. I believe in a God who cares about little things like that! And big things, too.
It's funny how so often what we look at as bad at the time, in retrospect was wonderful. I was so upset when I had to start working and only go to school part time because that upset my "schedule", but now I am so grateful. I wouldn't be where I am now if that hadn't happened.
But it didn't protect her piece of mind! It stressed her out! Quote: "Oh my goodness, I just had the scare of my life...I mean I'm still shaking all over."
I think God knows 2J well enough to not freak her out like that. I bet he said "Well, as long as 2J's all freakin' distracted by that lost file, I think I'll let it snow... she's not going anywhere.
It's just as plausible....
LOL - He's giving her an opportunity to practice *not* freaking out! Just like He's giving me a chance to practice not stressing out with work.
I'm gonna need more practice.
Izzit time to go home yet?? *wimper*
But also, in hindsight...Hair was right...I shouldn't have been so upset and worried. Everything worked out just fine, as I should have believed it would.
Oh well...just a little excitement in my life! At least no one got hurt! ;-)
Ha! We all came to the same conclussion, almost...just seconds apart.
Some of the Highland dances are similar, but others tell stories and have hand motions as part of the dance.
Wish I knew more about 'em.
Gah...I'm about useless this afternoon! Want to get home and get busy. And I'm cold...forgot to bring a sweater today.
Heh, you do tend to freak out, don't you? But at least you freaked out over nothing, than over being out in bad conditions.
