Happy Birthday, John Williams!!
It's coming right up!
We'd likely get there by the 10th, barring unforeseen delays. Especially if we traveled mostly at night. Then we could stick around a few days before heading to Washington.
Still in the planning stages, of course!
Thanks! :o)
I think that's an overestimate of time, unless you're planning to make a lot of stops. Two long and a short day of travel should do it... it took me the equivalent of two full days coming out.
It takes a full day and a half to get from here to about Indiana, though. But I may still be overestimating. I kinda hope so! We'd stop as little as possible.
"My car is craptastic, can I borrow yours?"
LOL
Ambulance just came and hauled my neighbor off. She's elderly and they come and get her periodically. I saw her, she was talking, so I'm not too worried.
Let's see... it took us about half a day to get to Indiana. So I think you're still a day overestimating.
Exciting!
The various map sites say it's just over thirty hours from here, if we don't hit traffic. Which...I'm figuring we COULD do it in three days, but likely we'll get there early in the morning of the fourth.
Have to figure out what we're doing as far as stopping along the way.
With two of you, just drive as long as you can... and the map sites go the exact speed limit. Five miles over, consistently, cuts a lot off a trip that long.
You might hit traffic around some of the cities but it shouldn't be too bad.
Happy Birthday Mr. Williams indeed.
Much more celebratory than what Stinky posted...
Hey, at least I don't have to ask who William Tecumsah Sherman was!
Mornin' everyone!
Winmag - PayPal will be addressed within the hour! :-D
Please don't tell me you had to ask who John Williams is...
That's good to know!
We may be able to start a little later, then. Or else hang out in Fort Collins awhile longer before heading to Washington, which would be nice, too!
Hah, no, of course not.
hey... William T. Sherman was a great general... unless'n you were on the other side...
I had family on both sides of this conflict...
mmmmmmmmm... hundred pounds of knives...
the lack of sheaths is puzzling... odd that...
I'll bet you and Margaret would have fun hanging out a bit. Maybe she'd decide to relocate, too.
Ok. Preparing for arctic maneuvers. Gloves, check. Coat, check. Hood, check. Scarf, check.
I'm half thinking of trying for my Network+ cert before I leave. I mean...I have the books, I took the prep course, I could probably pass if I studied a bit. But...it's pricey. Granted, the college said they'd reimburse me if I pass the test, but passing the test and then giving notice two weeks later doesn't seem like good ethics to me.
Is it really enough of a resume boost to be worth trying to scrape up the cash?
Hah!! Well, I've never been married, but I guess it's pretty apparent.
