I gotta take a hot soak. I feel chilled to the bone.
Been having a dreadful time with my vertigo. Had a bad spell in the kitchen Sat morning and nearly fell down with a pot of hot coffee. Steve got me. Then again last night, I laid down and felt like the entire world was flipping over! I was holding on to the bed for dear life (like that's gonna make some sort of difference) and Steve was holding on to my arm, which is nice but doesn't make any difference either.
I dunno why I go months and months without a wobble, then it hits me like this. Makes me nervous for a while...I try not to move my head too fast!
I think it's great you guys still have that kind of passion, but this is a family thread, 2J...
Heh... seriously... I hope it, whatever it is that brings it on, passes soon.
Sounds like your realtor is very nice and helpful for you.
LOL!! You're a nut.
Making myself a hot decaf tea.
My folks have a gas grill. The propane feeder line stopped working. So we dump coals into it. It works great.
Oh Rosie, it's beautiful!! I LOVE that color, and I think it will look vey nice on you! It shouldn't drag the ground, though, I wouldn't think. Look at the length on the models and you'll get an idea. Depends on the height of the heel on the shoes you'll be wearing. Is there someone in your area who does alterations for a reasonable price? The hem could probably be raised. Might want to check with the bride though, maybe she WANTED them dragging the ground, but with the possibility of ladies tripping, I'd think not.
Ok..hot soak time. BBL
That dress in white would make a gorgeous simple wedding dress! My wedding dress and my bridesmaids dresses were the same very simple pattern. I used a candlelight color for mine with a matching color lace capelet, and theirs were mango with a capelet of eyelet that had a pattern of flowers that were mango, purple, and yellow with green leaves. They were so pretty.
I've tried the ground turkey and we just didn't like it. It tasted kinda funky to us, so we just use 93% lean ground beef. It's a little pricier, but I only use about 1 1/4 pounds of meat in a big batch (about 2 qts.) of sauce, so it goes a long way.
I just made a pot of decaf Cinnamon Hazelnut coffee. Mmmm.
Well, it's settled. I'm simply going to have to buy my own copies and re-read Anne McCaffrey's dragonrider books. I just finished one of her recent minor stories - this one about Robinton. Wonderful story. Wonderful characters! What an imagination! What a wonderful storyverse. If I could live on any fictional world, it would have to be Pern.
Hmm, agreed on some of the books. The series has gone badly downhill, with the upswing of "Masterharper of Pern" notwithstanding. I don't like how so many of her female characters degenerate into whiny nags.
However, it is her best work. I haven't read the two recent additions, the one that was a collaboration with her son and then the new one just by the son, because the first didn't look appealing and the second only just came out.
er, poignant.
Ugh...just finished one of the toughest of the sorting jobs...I had a big plastic bin full of stuff that was in Mom's top dresser drawer when she died - Dad just stuffed it all in the container and brought it over, after removing the most obvious personal stuff. It still had letters to her from friends and things she had written - notes from retreats and things, all with pictures in the margins. She never outgrew that! There were a few things I couldn't stand to part with, but I suppose there's no reason I should be keeping grocery lists just because they're in her handwriting.
But it's done. Finally.
I'm pretty sure there's a bridal shop in Littleton, NH. I'm thinking I'd better have the hem taken up a bit. It MIGHT work with heels as it is now, but I don't wanna wear 'em! And if it's to the ground already...who's to know if I don't?
Guess I should get to that pretty quickly! I don't know what kind of backlog they get.
We haven't even begun to go through Dad's stuff. Tomorrow is the anniversary. It's been a hell of a rough year.
I'm finally to the point where I was able to do it with more tenderness than sorrow. Today, anyway.
The balance can still change at any moment, but it IS easier than it was. Took me a long time to be able to say that.
I was absolutely freezing!
Better now.
Tea sounds good...
It feels much later than it is here! I guess it's just 'cause I've been such a white knuckler that I haven't slept that well. Silly, considering how much God is providing and taking care of. I lack trust...
The furniture and the cats need prayer! I have to find homes for them right quick! It still seems unreal that the house is off the market. I didn't have time to get used to the idea of it being ON the market!
