Rose and I watch a lot of TV. There's something on virtually every night of the week that we enjoy watching.

I'm not trying to sound like an "I don't watch TV so I'm better than you snob." I'm sure I could find a lot of things I'd be interested in watching.

It's mainly a scheduling issue for me. With the Christmas show, for most of November and the first of December I'm not usually home at night. Or I can't be home consistently on a particular night. So it's hard to keep up with things like "24."

And now, the way we have the computer set up, I still don't have easy access to TV. We're getting ready to rearrange again.

I'm really getting into the watching a whole season in a week thing.

Starting at 6:00 pm Central, Andromeda on SciFi channel; then Joan of Arcadia on CBS, Johnny Zero on Fox, back to CBS for Numbers, then finally going to SciFi again for the rebroadcasts of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica. Because of the way SciFi rebroadcasts its Friday night shows, we could actually watch Andromeda last instead of first!

I'd probably watch those sci fi things if I had cable. I forgot, I used to like "Wild Wild West" also, with James Conrad and Ross Martin. Those guys had their own train.

I found the first three hours of "Lost" to be interesting... but the fourth hour, the episode titled "Walkabout" which focussed on the character of John Locke (the name is significant), was just incredible. One of the best hour long episodes of any program ever broadcast on prime-time TV, in my opinion. Maybe one day I can send you a VCD... ;)

I saw that episode. It was very good, although the sibs spoiled it (it was a rerun) by informing me beforehand about Locke.

Yes, exactly! The character of the same name states several times in that particular episode, "Don't tell me what I can't do!" It had a special meaning for him, but I don't want to give away the secret!

You'll probably smack me for mentioning anime, but that's part of why I enjoy watching the stuff. It's more fun to see a whole story in three or four sittings than over three months, and you don't have to worry about missing an episode.

Sounds to me what you need isn't a rearranged room, it's a laptop!

Yes, but on the other hand I got to watch how they told the story. It's a little like with The Sixth Sense; I knew that twist, too, so instead of being surprised I got to watch how they did it. For a hopeful storyteller, watching the mechanics is important.

Are you liking BSG? We are. First couple of episodes were slow, but the 2-parter had a better pace. I'd like to see some storylines develop with some minor characters (harkening back to Cassiopeia and Boxy, etc..).

I'd also love SciFi to drop Andromeda and pick up Firefly.

And that's all I have to say about that. :)

I gotta tell the truth and say the whole reason I gave the show a chance was because of Dominic Monaghan. *grin*

I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered it was a captivating show!

That's a good point. After I saw it the first time I had to go back and watch it again in order to pick up the hints and clues that were there...

Sometimes I get to where I feel like I've hit my quota of characters to follow, and I am actually reluctant to try something new.

I have LoTR characters... South Park, Seinfeld... and everyone here to follow. ;~D

I feel like I can't keep track of any more... I feel character-rich!

We're finding the new BSG to be interesting. I agree that the first regular eps have been a bit slow... a little too "clever". In the ep a week ago, which told the backstory of Starbuck and Zack, was just plain confusing to me... I got lost on what was supposed to be the distant past, the recent past, and the present.

The nice thing about SciFi channel is there's room for both Andromeda and Firefly! BTW, you do know about Serenity, the Firefly movie, right?
