Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Marshall (Ossie Davis): They just pay me to drive the limo, sir. I'm not here to tell you who you are.
Joe Banks (Tom Hanks): I didn't ask you to tell me who I am.
Marshall: You were hinting around about clothes. That happens to be a very important topic to me, sir. Clothes, Mr. . .
Joe Banks: Banks.
Marshall: Banks. Clothes make the man. I believe that. You say to me you want to go shopping, you want to buy clothes, but you don't know what kind. You leave that hanging in the air, like I'm going to fill in the blank, that to me is like asking me who you are, and I don't know who you are, I don't want to know. It's taken me my whole life to find out who I am, and I'm tired now, you hear what I'm saying?

Shall we exchange TPL requests? ;-) I have the first REAL showing, so I'm a little nervous.
The other thing that makes me a little nervous is that I had a call on my answering machine last night from the father of the gal who's viewing the house tomorrow...wanting to know when they could come by. Now...it could just be that he hadn't heard from her, that she was coming by on Saturday. OR, knowing him, it's just possible that he's going to try to talk me into a deal outside of going through the agency, which is illegal and I ain't gonna do it. I signed a contract, and that's the way she goes.
I may be being judgemental, and I guess I should talk to him before I get upset. He's just...very libertarian. Doesn't believe in rules. ;)

Ah, well, that's not so trivial! Maybe he's just being an overly concerned father looking out for his little girl...
All right, the friend I haven't seen much this semester and I are making a pilgrimage tomorrow afternoon to Popeyes'. Yum... chicken...

You have Popeye's?
I am sooooo there...
Yeah, he may just want to go along on the tour. And, like I said, maybe he just hadn't heard from her yet. I'm hoping that's all it is. And as far as I'm concerned, they're more than welcome to come by alone, but the sale itself HAS to go through the agency, if it comes to that.

Well, Denver has Popeye's. The closest is nearly an hour south. That's why I said pilgrimage ;-)

Heh, and it's not too far to make the trip now and then on a nice Saturday, which is what we're supposed to get.

Extree person just shown the house - the lady called and kind of apologized, but said she thought I'd be OK with it since I'd already been prepared for SOMEone to come by.
So...still more possibilities!
Wonder what's gonna happen next. I'm fluctuating between being vey excited and vey nervous...what else is new!
Mmm...sugar-free hot cocoa. Nice and calming...

Etra? Like, a real buyer, not just a seller?
Cool. It sure seems like progress to me!
