Season III Premiere thread of
"The Apprentice"
Thursdays, 9pm EST on NBC
This Season: Book Smarts versus Street Smarts
Who's planning to make this an Apprentice/Contender doubleheader?
Contender was pretty good.
Chris and John got paired with Erin and Stephanie. This will be a bloodbath!
At long last! LOL
Gene Simmons is creeping me out with that Phil Specter look.. Positive rigid! BWAHAHA
I haven't seen which team won yet, but it sure looks to me like John is about to crash and burn.
Yes I'm smelling Trump ozone where John is concerned *lol*
I think the bottom one looks better.
I didn't know who half of those celebs were. Bren did diddly squat, It was Tana and Craig that won that task. Tana is looking pretty good. I think Trump will pick a woman this time and she is a front runner.
I didn't recognize a single one of the Stars, but Tana was a star tonight, displaying dazzling negotiation savvy and achieving superior results..I didn't realize she was a cosmetics star, Mary Kay I presume. I had a friend who earned herself big bucks with MK, several cars, diamond rings, the whole deal. Worked hard at it and succeeded. I think Tana is a real contendah for winning this thing. Kendra did an excellent no-nonsense job too.
It might indeed be the Apprentice won by a woman.
Erin was great on TV, so was Chris and of course Tana the MILF, LOL. Erin is the best-looking woman, clever too, but Tana is probably the most consistent work star. All in all, this was a really interesting show tonight, an hour well-wasted. I won't miss John.
I did stick around for Contendah and wish I had not. Boo hiss to all that sweat and blood. And to bringing your little kids to watch you getting beaten to a pulp. That wide-eyed little pre-verbal baby girl in white was obviously having a dreadful moment that she'll have to pay a shrink to attend to one day.
I was more worried about the pregnant wife. I'm not comfortable watching the wives and children viewing their husband/fathers in the ring - and so close to the action. I've figured out you can pass on the first half of the show and just watch the second half and still know everything you need to know.
Back to the Apprentice. First of all, I didn't know the term "MILF" in all its various forms was acceptable for network broadcasting. Yes, I know they didn't use the "F" part but it was obvious what it stood for (not "fool around", Tana, that would make it MILFA).
Nonetheless, Tana was obviously the star and she impressed with her chameleon-like change from dorm mom to gang banger. She's obviously willing to take a dare and this is twice now that she has really excelled on a project where she was not the PM. Kendra was impressive too and has busted out of her shell in back-to-back performances.
While Chris is clearly the weaker of the two between him and John, I think John was dumped in part because of the previous week. Chris deserved it moreso than John but Chris inadvertantly did what so many other PMs have not - he set someone else up on his task who could get the blame for losing. Brian, Kristen and Tara were too me-centric and wanted to own their projects. Good if you win, sucks if you lose because then you have no credibility when you blame your teammates.
Chris did to John what Audrey tried to do but was too obvious in doing. He made John responsible for a big part of the project that ultimately failed. Kendra, for her part, did the same thing. She went along for the first celeb negotiation but then left it in the hands of Tana and Craig. Had Magna drawn less money, Kendra also had her scapegoat.
Chris needs to watch his temper though. He's been able to survive three boardroom outbursts and I'm guessing he won't survive a fourth. In a way, it's too bad John is gone because I wanted to see him interracting more with Erin and Stephanie than just for one week. Net Worth can now be renamed Team Airhead because Angie is the only one of that group who can pull her own weight.
The new "Magna" has all the remaining stars other than Angie. Tana and Kendra are stepping up big time while Alex and Bren still have potential (Alex moreso than Bren). Criag is the last one now who hasn't been a PM so we'll have to see if he can handle it. At least he's got a much better team to work with than his opposition.
FWIW, next week's show doesn't look that interesting. I don't really care to see Danny's audition tape although it just might answer why the heck some of these bozos got through the screening in the first place.
Hubby and I like Angie. She seems pretty consistent and professional, except for the streaky hair.
Tana did do well on this task.

That was tittering-time. The offensive entendres were coming from Gene Simmons. What a sleaze ball.
Simmons was sleazy but, frankly, I wouldn't have wanted to hang out with any of the musicians, much less bid money for the privelege.
Please add me to your ping list. Thanks

Home Depot DIY clinic bttt
Home Depot's little post-clinic ad was truly cheesy.
Essentially, "we can help you build a box". Gee, HD, thanks. I don't think I could do that without you...
A box *lol* I can build a chicken coop.
Chewing tabbacy is disgusting imho. I just hate it but the poor guy *lol*
