The casting idea was stupid, but it ended up working -- barely. Going in, I didn't like either idea, but I would have picked the personal services deal, and I think most business savvy people would have as well. I agree that you will sell more casting calls in New York than in, say, Houston, but had the fee for the agent been, say, 1200 instead of 1000 (and she indicated on the phone 500 might do it), they wouldn't have won.

The thing that bothered me about this episode was that Trump acted like the win was like a blowout, when it was a team that was forced out of bounds on the foot line with time expiring, going for the winning TD.

I think Bren will end up winning, or at least, being in the final four. He's smarter and more articulate than the others and their team will be much better without Michael.

Am I alone in thinking tonight's episode is boring? Jennifer Lopez' documentary is more interesting.

First of all, let me say that asking me to judge grafitti is like asking me to judge tattoos - I think they're all ugly. (You mean people actually get *paid* to do that??)

But I was really surprised with the outcome and I disagreed with which team won although I didn't disagree with who got fired.

And, yes, I did feel the episode was a bit boring, particularly when switching away from the UFO documentary on ABC (Is Jennifer Lopez a UFO or were you watching something else?).

MTV is featuring the J.Lo fashion show. I should have watched the UFO thing instead of Apprentice but oh well :-) The grafitti thing is weird. That's so old news in Harlem.

>>I disagreed with which team won<<

You've got to be joking. The so-called "urban" theme was done not as a marketing statement, but as a political statement. The people potentially buying the product didn't give a rip about what the mural was supposed to show, only that they didn't get it and it didn't have anything to do with PS2.

I didn't get the jungle part at the bottom, but the clear winner was Magna. Like the results that came out, it wasn't even arguable to me.

Yeah, it wasn't the greatest episode. If you caught the highlights for next week it looks pretting interesting.

This week was so boring. The only good part was when Craig totally cut the legs out from under his PM. So she called him into the boardroom. Kept John out of the boardroom again. From the episodes I've seen he and John are the only worthy candidates. Not sure about Tana. Audrey and Craig better bury the hatchet before Magna gets another victory.

Oh Veto, I just witnessed the funniest thing on Linda Vester's "Dayside". I happened to click over to FNC and saw Omarosa there and figured she was going to talk about last night's episode.

Well, the audience was treated to these gems:

African-Americans are portrayed badly because the show is racist. Witness treatment of Stacy J and how Verna left because of the pressure she couldn't handle.

No, Linda, you don't know anything about TV, I know more because my BA, MA & PhD are in Television & Communications.

I make more money than you Linda.

It got that catty!

Omarosa said something about, "You don't know what you are talking about, my friend". and Linda says, "You are not my friend". It went on and on with exaggerated politeness and the audience finally booed Omarosa at the end. Very interesting TV. Omarosa hasn't changed and probably never will!

Funny! I wish I'd seen it. Omarosa is going to go through life alienating people for a living.

BTW, your tag line rocks!

It was so boring that I fell asleep and missed nine-tenths of it. And I don't really care. Apprentice is sinking fast, imo. How are the ratings holding up?

I don't know but so far 'street smarts' have won everything haven't they? I look forward to the Martha Stewart Apprentice.

Judge for yourselves:

The winning entry (Magna - college educated).

The losing entry (Net Worth - high school educated).

Personally, they're both ugly but Net Worth's looks somewhat better to me. Certainly not the slam dunk as portrayed in the boardroom.

Thanks, TT. Agree, the losing one looks better to me, but I don't pretend to understand the ghetto mind. Does Donald? What a stupid assignment in the first place.

Who got fired?

Tara took on the PM for Net Worth and totally owned it, citing her ability to understand the "sensitivities" of the Harlem community. When she showed it off to the Sony execs, the entire presentation was "I", "I", "I". Okay, fine.

But when the focus group, and subsequently Sony, chose Magna's wall, she took Craig and Audrey into the board room with her.

She tried to pin the blame on Audrey for not telling her the game covers more cities than just New York (well, duh) and Craig as her underboss who told Trump she was the person most responsible for the loss.

The boardroom took a bizarre twist when Craig mentioned that Audrey was recently married (two months before taping) and this led to a three-way conversation between Craig, Audrey and Trump. Once they refocused on the task, Tara was fired because she really left nobody else who could be held responsible for losing. On the way out, Tara essentially blamed everyone but herself.

I think the twist with Audrey being a newlywed is to set the scene for her apparent breakdown on next week's show.

Thanks for taking the time to explain. Too bad Tara sounded like Omarosa on the way out the door. Some people are sooooo blameless!

I think if you had seen the show and seen the feedback, you'd see it was a slam dunk. PS wanted something that appealed to their focus group. The one that one did; the one that lost, didn't. It was that simple and, according to the PS guys, it wasn't even close.

You can't argue with the customer.

I did see the show - twice. They took six comments from a group that was much bigger than that. You're obviously correct that the Sony guys said they liked Magna's better. They both look like eyesores to me but Net Worth's looks less like one. And I'm not alone. On some other Apprentice boards they are thinking this was rigged to give Magna a win and keep the teams more even. I won't go that far but I just don't see one as hugely superior to the other and if I were to give an edge, it would be to Net Worth.

Were it me, I would have just hung a billboard anyway.
