Technology is truly amazing. We can't be gypsies now because we have nine cats and there isn't an RV big enough. When I was single though, I traveled the country, and Canada, going from job to job in the national parks. It was so much fun. I do like my stable home and stuff now, but I sure get that vagabond ache here and there.

There is a Walmart supercenter in North Little Rock...east off the McCain interchange. That interchange is a major shopping hub. On the northwest corner is McCain Mall, Southwest corner is Target, Office Depot, Barnes and Noble. On the east side there is Best Buy, Petco, Burlington, TJ Maxx, etc. The Walmart is just about a quarter mile from that intersection.

Also, you really should sample the barbecue while you're there. I would make 2 recommendations...Dixie Pig, which is off of Camp Robinson Rd. in North Little Rock, or The Whole Hog Cafe on Cantrell Road in Little Rock. It isn't too far from downtown. Be sure and get the pig/pork though. Nothing else is real sountern barbecue.

You should get some Gun Owners of America, or Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership gear and wear it to work.

NOT my fault.
Keyword doesn't say it is.

LOL! We are not allowed to discuss the "g" topic at work and any discussions must be in whispered tones for fear of offending someone. Bluto brought in a bunch of toy (Barbie-size) guns for my W, Ann Coulter, and GI Joe dolls. The manager saw them with their mini-guns and was not happy. Of course, she's not a happy person anyway...

Everything is your fault when it's not mine.

No idea about everything, but we're enjoying light, soaking rain which should continue for another day or so. The flora is trying to bud out and get its spring thing going on way early this year.

Looking out the window of CommandCentral, I see that the deer have knocked off some more limbs of our magnolia tree while polishing their racks. Creeps.

How come there is such a deer overpopulation there? Not enough predators?

What's Mr.PB's take on this stupid Asian rust situation?

Has it affected land prices, yet?

Safe, and fun travels.

Thanks for the info and recommendations. BBQ sounds good, I haven't had Arkansas BBQ before, I'd like to try it.

So far, my favorite BBQ is the way they make it in Texas. A drier product without so much sauce it seems.

Yep. Although we do have our coyote pack which is doing a fine job of thinning out the kitties and the small poochies here in the hood...I just wish that they would discover the joy of venison.

He says he's not aware of land prices being affected, but it's certainly not a good thing. Brought in my hurricanes evidently and popping up more and more in southeastern areas now, but its highly contagious and will likely spread.

Our associate is actually much more up to speed on this than Mr. PB is. He thinks we'll probably have to develop genetically engineered crop seed that's resistant to it.

Well, yes, I am somewhat cognizant of this in the back of my mind usually.
*chuckle*

Well, as currently aware of things as I usually am while stating the standard denial form.

Bluto Alert:

US businessman targets fat employees with slim or quit threat
Personnel Today ^ | 01/27/2005 | Dan Thomas

The owner of a US company who forced his employees to quit smoking or leave their jobs has now said he also wants to tell fat workers to lose weight or else.

His ban on tobacco use, at home or in the workplace, led four employees to quit their jobs last week at Michigan-based Weyco, which handles insurance claims, reports Reuters.

The employees refused to take a mandatory urine test required of Weyco's 200 staff by founder and sole owner Howard Weyers, a demand he said was legal.

"If they don't want to take the test, they can leave," Weyers told Reuters. "I'm not controlling their lives; they have a choice whether they want to work here."

Overweight workers are next in the firing line for Weyers.

"We have to work on eating habits and getting people to exercise. But if you are obese, you are protected," he said.

He has brought in an eating disorder therapist to speak to workers, provided eating coaches, created a point system for employees to earn health-related $100 (£53) bonuses and plans to offer $45 (£24) vouchers for health club memberships.

Last year, Weyers banned smoking during office hours, then demanded smokers pay a monthly $50 (£27) "assessment," and finally instituted mandatory testing. Twenty workers quit smoking as a result.

We get $150 if we exercise 20 minutes a day for six weeks or so. I don't think Bluto ever signs up for that. He doesn't even walk up the stairs, but takes the elevator to the second floor. We also get $150 non-smoker rebate...

I'm a strong believer in the height-weight proportionate thing.

Boy, this guy is the quintessential liberal- I'll bet he even loves my kid (without knowing my son's name)!
Wonder if he'll pay employees not to use Viagra if new side effects are found in its use.
