Have you checked the paper in surrounding towns? It's not like there is a kitten shortage, or anything. Just hang in there. I'm sure you'll find something. You can go online and check the ads in the newspapers of most towns. Just tell him that you are working on it and that he will get one just as soon as you can find one.

Oh yes, I have checked the local papers and our free ones that cover a large area for a kitten. The only ones I am finding are almost grown or adult cats.

But, I did get a tip today from the gestapo Humane Society person who answered my inquiry. He said that in our cold weather right now, not many cats are going into heat and breeding; thus the shortage. This was news to me, but I just have a cat as a pet and never investigated their breeding habits. LOL
