Are all Conservative Women Religious Fanatics (Vanity warning)??

Okay. Flame if you want. This is what you'd probably call a vanity. Yes, I am a new member, but I've lurked here for years. And no, I'm not from DU!!! However, I am asking a serious opinion here, not trying to start a flame war. I am an agnostic. But I am a conservative. I am anti-abortion, think gay marriage is wrong, I hate high taxes, and think the Dept. of Education is a bunch of shiznit.

But I can't meet a woman like me. All the girls in my age group (I'm 20) are either flaming liberals, or, if they are conservative, they're Jesus freaks. I don't mean to offend anyone but that's the best description I can come up with. Does a non-religious, or "libertarian" type, young, conservative, SINGLE female exist, or not?

I'm happily married and not interested in an affair but these "Jesus freaks" you refer to really aren't "freaks". They simply get their conservative values/beliefs from the Bible. Unlike mere mortals, His values are infallible.

BTW, you claim to be a conservative ... where do you get your values/beliefs from?

BTW, leave the "Jesus freaks" alone.

They deserve better.

Again, I am not trying to buy a stairway to heaven by doing the right thing. I do the right thing because it is the right thing to do, not because I might get rewarded. You don't lie, you don't cheat, you don't steal, you don't kill; those are just basic tenants of being a good human being. My moral core is just who I am, and I could not care less what "society" thinks about it. If this country is successfully violated and becomes one big California, I will take my children and my husband and go somewhere else.

The original "Jesus Freaks" were essentially hippies who became born-again Christians while maintaining hippy dress.

"It's [Jesus Freak] a badge of Honor nowadays, not to mention a great CD that is about 10 years old."

Sure - it does depend on who is calling you a Jesus Freak.

In this case, it's been lazily parroted for the lack of discernable tact.

Btw, who's CD is called 'Jesus Freak'?

Well, let's see:

1. HIV - have you been tested? Oh boy, won't that be fun.

2. HPV - could take years before you know, if ever. The worst time to find out would be if you later get married and your bride gets pregnant. Ouch, not a pleasant topic for discussion on the way home from the OB-GYN.

3. Other STDs - There's all kinds of stuff out there, you do the research.

And here's the kicker, if any subject of your youthful affairs got pregnant and didn't tell you, you'll never know. Makes being pro-life, well, interesting, eh?

No, you don't know 100%. Like I said, "pretty stupid".

Yeah, I remember having visited coffee houses and canteens manned by those so-called (even my friends and I referred to the same monicker at the time) "Jesus Freaks."

I seem to recall how cool and non-judgemental those dudes were.

Seriously, try sorority girls. They tend to be conservatively raised but not into the whole "Jesus-freak" thing. Think the Bush Twins though they are probably a bit out of your league --but girls "like" them. You know what I mean!

Yes! Especially at your age. They just don't know it yet. Find a girl who doesn't really care about politics and likes to smoke weed and drink beer and you'll probably find that deep inside her political leanings are more closer to yours than she might realize. You can awaken the libertarian beast within! I met a lot of these types of girls in college.

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.

Take a look: http://www.matchdoctor.com
I've found that many of the ladies there are conservative, and they are not all religious.

I am intrigued by the wording "religious fanatics". It has been my experience that anyone who believes in something more than you is a fanatic. What is a Jesus freak? or What is it that you mean by that?

The women I've known who've had an abortion never told the father. Planned Barrenhood has used our tax dollars to make abortion so cheap that young women don't really need any money. And killing her baby is not something that makes a woman want to go out for a dinner date.
